Van Basten is pretty much a failed manager. He had some good runs, especially when qualifying with the Dutch national team. But it looks like he shares some of Ciro's bad decision making. Namely his choices to not field in form players. He, like Rocky here, claims to be stubborn and hard headed.. probably to his detriment.
why is everybody giving up on Hiddink? It all boils down to the source i guess. Are there any other sources that repeat what goal dot com states? You know that 100% crap? Haven't read it anywhere else, although I must admit, i haven't been looking all over the net.

The main argument, however, seems to be that Guus has to meet with Russian federation before anything concrete comes out. His agent is being quoted as saying that meeting should be held end of the week, or even next.
