How about some players who actually play in wide positions?
Two attacking Fullbacks would provide enough width. We do need a young CF and also we don't even know what formation we will employ. If we use the 4-2-3-1 then I agree about signing a winger.

Two attacking fullbacks would also expose your cbs (slow) to counter attacks. Plus good attacking fullbacks aren't something that are readily available in the transfer market for a reasonable price. Rafinha would be a good purchase, but I'd consider buying a left sided midfielder as no player on Juve looks comfortable attacking from the left side. In addition.

I would like it if we get Guus, that they give him a player like Rafinha or such, his game is based on lots of movement, and the players who move the the most these days are attacking fullbacks like Rafinha. And thats what our team lack the most in these centralised approach, width and penetrating quality runs from fullbacks that give good options to the midfielders to play off.

He ought to, otherwise the team might not get any better.
Hiddink should do a better job than Ciro. If not, the club really is screwed.

A new FB would be nice, then when we play Ajax he could possibly sort a deal for Suarez out.
Suarez would be nice indeed. Hiddink should have Ajax's number when it comes to tactics so there is no excuse losing out to them.

It depends on what sort of formation he wants to use. Personally I think he will most likely stick with the 4-3-1-2, but there is a chance he could use the 4-2-3-1, which I prefer with this team. That could mean more Joe Vinko and perhaps a new wide player out right.

Joe Vinko looks comfortable. And again it depends on the formation.

Marchisio has played well from a deeper left-midfield role, storming forward, scoring a couple goals. Not as the wide guy in the 4-2-3-1, but the LM in the 4-3-1-2.

The problem is when you play with two full backs that love to attack. If you have quick cbs or a DM that hangs back from the play you can prevent counters. If you have bother full backs constantly going forward you can get assed all day long. The important part is to have an anchor (a full back that merely supports the midfield and rarely makes attacking runs). Manchester United does this with Evra and whoever is on the right.

I hope Guus bring that total football style of play to this team, not enough one two touches. Man, Bayern played a really good passing game when they raped us. It seems everybody is doing it, except us.:sergio:

Grosso would be better if he only had to support the midfield rather than orchestrate attacks up the left flank. He's not fast enough to do that anymore.
True, he gets caught out of position regularly.

I think looking for someone to take over from Camoranesi is much more important than the left side right now, especially with the latest long term injury he suffered.

I don't think Guus has a specific formation. I think I saw him play with 3 at the back, 1 forward, 2 forwards...He'll check the players we got and go with what's the more logical formation.
