"Allows Asamoah to move back to CM"

- - - Updated - - -

Because he allows Asamoah, the guy who made the team of the season TWICE, will move back to CM if this happens. Doh!

Thank God we have you to teach us all about the art of defending.
Evra is our starting LB, so if we sign this guy as the back-up, then yeah, Asamoah is clearly going to be used as a CM.

It's weird these things have to be explained. Evra + Siqueira + Padoin is enough cover just like on the right side Licht + Caceres + Padoin.

Asa back to midfield so hopefully we won't be looking for a CM any more. A top class AM would make me rate our mercato very highly.

I think Klin was mocking Zach there.

Zach went from 'Asamoah made team of the season twice as a Lb' implying there is no need for a lb to 'Siqueira transfer allows us to move Asamoah back to CM'

Dat contradiction :touched:

+ next year , Licht will be rotated/eventually replaced by Vrsaljko.

Yeah, you're welcome.

Also stop trying to give critique just for the critique. Its a backup, deal with it. Seriously..

Must I link that DaiDevil gif of you, that you like to twist words ?

He was team of the season twice as a wingback. He then started well as a fullback but got injured for the season.

Reality is that with khedira out, we run thin on cm's. And that evra was very solid at the end of the season.

Id want him as a fullback. But injuries happen

:D

Problem is that Sequeira is not a bad player, he's good not a world beater either, but he's 29, for a management that it's hailed for its long term vision, they surely excel in short term solutions, you buy Sequeira and you have evra, 2 years from now max you will need a starting LB.
Hes a backup, not a starter. Well look for a starter when evra retires

so... I've never seen him play. 10m for a 29 year old doesn't look really good for a poorly informed me. I trust our management, but for those that have seen him; how good is he?

I hope this deal doesn't go through, but if its official , hope he does well and prove us wrong .
Funny thing about football, and other team sports, is that you don't always need talent to succeed. There are a lot of variables that come into play, that could make a player fit a particular team in a way the layman didn't think possible. Intelligence, versatility, hard work, strength, stamina, ethic. I honestly didn't know who Perreyra was before last season, it's the same with Siqueira this season, but whose to say how he will end up if he settles into our style of play with the right rhythm? Sandro is being taken off the market, so this just looks like a make shift move, which gives Asamoah more bandwidth. Not a bad thing IMO.
