Haha, getting rid of Nocerino and Molinaro in one deal is too unbelievable to be true;) Zamparini himself said Palermo will get Nocerino and half of Lanzafame (sadly not loan, he said that after information about loaning Lanzafame appeared) plus cash for Amauri.

Newcastle Join Race For Vargas

The Peruvian international was a key component of the Catania team last season and has won many plaudits throughout his 65-game career in Serie A, but Newcastle’s quest to land the versatile Vargas may be in vain.

Several clubs in Italy and Spain are allegedly keeping tabs on the player, with the Sicilian club all but resigned to losing him in the summer.

Champions League-bound Fiorentina are strongly tipped to land the 24-year old, with their position in Europe’s elite competition thought to be the breaker in the deal.

VARGAS, The agent: "Catania want 11 million pounds"

"For know his future would need still some days, because are many the teams interested". Words of Carlos Delagado, agents of Jorge Manuel Vargas. The agent , reached by the British tabloids Daily Post, has made a list of suitors: "Milan, Inter, Roma, Fiorentina, Palermo, Napoli, Sevilla, Tottenham, Liverpool and Real Madrid. Vargas evaluation? Catania required 11 million pounds".

Well let's see Milan (could use him but rb and cb are more urgent needs), Inter(are known for buying players they don't need but doubt it), Roma (Tonetto was on fire so not likely to spend that much on lb),Fiorentina (have Pasqual so same as Roma), Palermo (we all know Zamparini is a maniac but doubt it), Napoli (could happen if they have money and see him as what they need as they don't use fullbacks), Sevilla (a real possibility), Tottenham (Bought Gilberto in January so don't really see anyway for this), Liverpool (have Aurelio and seem more interested in Dossena) and Real (same as Inter I guess). This leaves us, Napoli and Sevilla of those so don't see why this could not go through

Vargas is way better than Grosso.

It is not his fault Peru will never win a WC so we can call him a "world cup winner".
Yeah, I hate this fucking shit. "World Cup Winner Grosso, World Cup Winner Zaccardo, World Cup Winner Barzagli."

The latter two players are crap and we're stuck with morons talking them up just because they play for the Azzurri. It's bullshit. Just like that pathetic joke Lucio winning the World Cup.

They'd be stupid not to. They said he'll be back so if they don't find a very good LB they won't loan him out I guess.
