    Oh Jesus... :eyepatch: :broken: :skull:
He might have become a subject of ridicule and a parody of his former self but before his injury he was a helluva of a player as in 90 wc Euro92, wc 94 and performances for Parma testify

I have heard of a lot but my problem is spelling their names becos if I do try it might come out like I have diarrhoea or something as my spelling sucks sometimes :D

Anyway this is your chance and thread to blow your country's horn and tell us about their greatest players and great prospects

I can't help but think of Gary Lineker when I think of England's greatest players. You don't agree?

    Italy Baresi, maldini and baggio
    I would add Rossi.

Holland Cruyff Marco Van Basten, Gullit
Add to that: Johan Neeskens and Willem van Hanegem

    Germany Beckenbauer and Matthaus
Agreed. The Germans themselves would probably add Kahn to that list but he hasn't impressed me enough yet.
(Hey, I was objective concerning the Germans  :D )

Well first of all greeks who play in serie a
1.Zisis Vryzas who plays at perugia and
2.Trainos Dellas who plays for roma.
We also have Nick Dabizas who plays for Newcastle and Aggelos Charisteas who plays in the bundesliga(Vender Vreme)i cannot spell the name of the team. There is also Nick Machlas who used to play with Ajax but now has several problems with Koeman, and he is always out of the 18 players selected. There is also in arsenal's reserves a youngster named Tavlaridis.
Greece has many talents and if you observe the U-21 championships you will notice that we are doing pretty well but the people who manage football here are totally idiots and that's why all the talents never improve. Our championship sucks with no competition among the teams, financial problems, lack of organization, lack of stadiums and training centers...ok i will stop i think you got the picture.
Now the most prevailing stars from greece are
    1.Demis Nikolaidis(AEK)
2.Basilios(Billy) Tsartas(AEK)used to play in Seville
3.Michalis Konstantinou(Panathinaikos)remember the goal against Barca last year in the quarter finals?
4.Nick Lymberopoulos(Panathinaikos)the guy that dribbled past ferrara and earned the penalty two or three years ago:down:
That's a small list of the most well-known.
