I found this in sports.it:

If I understand correctly (dont know italian), Moggi has bougth (???) Sao Paolo Brazilian forward Grafite, and he has send him to French team Les Mans to watch him more closely...

Can anybody tell something about him, I mean I remember seen him in last year Libertadores Cup, but quite frankly he didnt impress me alot

Astonishing news.

£2.5M. (€4M) to end up at Siena or Messina next season after playing up to 15 matches at Le Mans twixt now and May.

What the **** is Moggi up to. Lavalle and Chuimento(?) already there. We will definitely need Mancini now that Camoranesi is likely to leave in May. This purchase is most odd and is another unproductive, Gladstone-style shot in the dark.

Didn't Zalayeta just put his name on an extension? They're about the same age so no future prospect there either. Did Le Mans ran out of forwards and Moggi ran in for help or what the hell is this all about?

    Grafite on Juve's books
    Tuesday 24 January, 2006
Juventus have signed Sao Paulo striker Edinaldo Batista Libanio, otherwise known as Grafite, according to reports in Italy.

The 26-year-old has been bought to replace Marcelo Zalayeta, who will leave in the summer, and has been compared to his compatriot and Inter marksman Adriano.

Grafite, who cost the Turin club £2.75m, will be loaned to French outfit Le Mans - a side whom Juve have already handed youth team players to recently. Defender Luigi Lavecchia and Swiss forward Davide Chiumiento have both enjoyed spells with the French club.

At Le Mans, Grafite’s progress will be regularly monitored by the Bianconeri before he is brought to Turin next season and possibly loaned out to Siena or Messina.

The powerful centre-forward is reportedly on the fringes of the Brazil national team and was recommended to general director Luciano Moggi by the Italian giants’ extensive global scouting network.

Moggi decided to make his move for Grafite after his intended acquisition of Sergio Koke of Marseille fell through following the player’s refusal to first be loaned to Siena.

Grafite made the headlines in Brazil last year following an unsavoury incident during a Copa Libertadores match against Quilmes of Argentina. The Brazilian forward was racially abused by Leandro Desabato, who was subsequently charged by police.

Waste of money really. did anyone see Van Persie's goal tonight against wigan? What a free kick!!!! Even though wigan got the crucial goal a min from extra time and Arsenal went out. Its talent like him we should be going for. We missed out on C.Ronaldo cos Salas refused to go sporting lisbon. Van Persie is gonna be the shit!! Trust me!
