I'm gearing up for my fourth and hopefully final year in European Studies at The Hague University. Basically it's a mixture of languages and cultures that could see me land an advisory job at a company or government on how they should deal with a particular country and it's culture.

I have to study until December and then do a workplacement (internship for all you Americans :D) in a foreign country from January - July. I'm hoping to get to America

I actually chose it in my 12th year as a college course to get college credit. I think they teach it in college only.

European History? At what year do they start when they teach you that in the States?
Maybe you should take this one step at a time; ask him when they learn the concept of 'Europe' in the States :)

Hmm that is a much better deal. Over here they start teaching you from age 4 then run it through all of highschool until your graduation year.

Of course they have to. The history of my country effectively starts 3000 years ago :lazy:

See that's the difference Eric, here we learn United States history from the age of four. Christopher Columbus and all that good stuff. This was what we had to say- In 1942 Columbus sailed the ocean blue. It is drilled into our minds.

    1942? :D

Anyway; why start teaching kids the history of your country at age 4 when there's only the odd 5 centuries to cover? :undecide:

Now now, let's not patronise him too much! :)
Oohh c'mon it was just a joke. It's not like the average European can tell the difference between Alabama and Missouri or summat :D
