I got an invite through a clever technique from a friend but I have none to spare myself

My buddy sent me the invite by creating an album and making the invite a picture in the album. It was weird but genius nonetheless

Just curious: How can the FB for Android app be improved?
well for a start notifications when you get a IM,proper notifications when you get a PM (the majority i get a notification but no message and have to log into the mobile site to read the message) these are just 2 examples of basic things with Facebook for Android that fail miserably to deliver the most basic part of their service

Oh I agree with that. The "push" notifications on Android are nothing like what they are on iPhone. Fuckin instantaneous!

I also think that this FB clone will fail.
And so far i fail to see the killer feature, i dont the circle UI be such convincing enough, in order to justify all that hussle as JBF described it.

I remember that ppl refused to do the step from the mediocre high5 to the far superior FB because of that.
FB with its pokes and likes has infiltrated everywhere, the tweeter managed to challenge it by offering smth else, but not to replace it.
Google+ will try to replace and therefore it will fail, it came far too late and it is not much more advanced, just different. FB latest update already brought groups and they can anytime update those groups, already formed and complete with a circle like UI.

The army of Androids could help though, but it doesnt seem impressive enough and the circles there are absent.
Maybe if they offer skype-like quality of video calls and significally superior UI, as long as free access from the networks, like the FB does, they would have a small chance...

They already offer video calls through the G-talk plugin on Gmail, right? It should be pretty easy to integrate it into G+. Best part is that Google doesn't have to rely on 3rd-parties like Skype to offer the same.

I'm fairly optimistic about G+. I think it will do well. They just need to open it for the public ASAP.

For those of you with G+ and an android device, make sure you dl the G+ app and the Huddle app. Asif, Dhee and I have our own huddle so let us know and we'll add you to it.

I've been using Google Voice for 2+ years, but people seem to forget about it. :frown:

Hopefully unlike facebook, Google+ won't be making such unnecessary updates all the time. Pretty much why I don't use my facebook.
