Too different matters you're discussing here. FB's IM was a hit since EVERYONE was using FB in the first place besides, FB had the option to sync your MSN contacts and find them on FB meaning you'll have all of those on FB. Now why the fuck would I bother to sign in to MSN when I've them all already there? But still, peeps not using FB still very much view MSN the same; irreplaceable. Now with this Google+ you're gonna have to start from scratch, meaning one gotta send invites from contacts already there and vice versa; very tiring and not worth it for many who are already over their heads with the FB shit. And lets be honest here, by this time people not already on FB won't go for this shit either as they're doing it over principle and since many FB users will find this a useless-tiring process I bet many will decline and consequently this will fail.

I agree somehow with JBF as it already happened when Google introduced Wave. I was one of those extremely excited about, started using it and realized that it is adding nothing to what I already have.

However, with Google+ there are other factors, somehow Android and mainly people in general are frustrated with FB. Many think very low of the network and would prefer something better structured.

yup i agree with Jack on this,if they manage to integrate this cleverly with Android then they could have a big hit on their hands. Facebook for Android is extremely poor so unless Facebook pull their fingers out and deliver a better product then Google+ may just steal a marsh on them with an intelligent and easy to use product that works WITh your Android device

Just curious: How can the FB for Android app be improved?
