Lei conosceva la storia della Juve? «Premetto: io sono juventino. Credo di aver assistito per la prima volta a un Juve- Palmeiras o Juve-Santos, non ricordo con precisione. Ma ricordo la Juve di Zoff e un gran gol di Bettega nel 1978».
L'idea è quella di una Juve da far amare, una Juve per i giovani... «La Juve ha un grande brand. Quel che ho chiesto è di creare nuovamente una Juve che fa leva sul risultato sportivo. Una Juve che piaccia ai giovani, la vera forza trainante. Dobbiamo farli avvicinare. Loro e le famiglie, il progetto Juve sullo stadio va avanti».
Punta anche sul settore giovanile. Con Ciro Ferrara? «Lui curerà il settore giovanile, Ferrara mi piace molto, può fare grandi cose, occorrono simboli positivi».
Finora Alessandro Del Piero, oltre a Pessotto che farà il team manager, è l'unico che non vi ha ufficialmente voltato le spalle, è l'unico che ha parlato da innamorato. Cosa pensa? «L'ho apprezzato tantissimo. Io non conosco ancora Del Piero, ma le sue parole mi sono piaciute. Però non credo che sia stato l'unico».

Sembra che l'aria di retrocessione dia fastidio... «E' umano che prendano coscienza e possano pensare a una decisione di questo tipo, spero rimanga più gente possibile e in ogni caso sono sicuro che arriveranno ottimi giocatori. Qui dobbiamo tornare all'etica e alla sportività, queste sono le linee guida. Io sicuramente resterò nel consiglio d'amministrazione, non scappo, si riparte in qualunque serie, ma con lealtà».
Il tanto ipotizzato falso in bilancio? «La giustizia ha fatto il suo corso, mi sembra non ci sia nulla».
Da quando è entrato nel mondo Juve quale aspetto l'ha colpita maggiormente? «L'amore per i colori da parte di chi ci lavora».
