When I worked back east at a lab that included rocket fuels among its many research projects, I know of one guy who handled gopher holes with a small cube of liquid-nitrogen-cooled solid rocket fuel, an upside-down garbage can, and a lot of dead weight on top of it.

Sometimes, depending on the cube, it would still blow the garbage can 20 meters into the air.

you can get them for a chicken in some places in Africa
