Mandžukič is a different kind of 9 to Higuain though and yesterday he played a very similar role to the one he had when playing in a front 2 together with Dybala. if the LW in our 433 is a striker like Mario or Martial, that can be the attacking outlet, I don't see why Dybala couldn't be the focal point of the attack, he already was in 15/16 when Mario had more of a supportive role and Dybala's grown since then

He's banging in a lot more goals than he used to.

So all of a sudden our top scorer in the CL is the problem again :sergio:

Why is there a constant need to look for a scapegoat after a loss?
Some of the arguments I can understand though and his price tag is what makes it difficult but it is obvious that we perform better when one of him or Dybala is playing. They are very incompatible.

He has a unique vantage point as having played for Madrid.

I wonder if he has said anything about how dubious a lot of the calls they get in their favor are? I mean, he has witnessed referring for them and against them as having played with and against them.

It's so strange, if they were able to click together they would be unstoppable. One of the only gripes I have with Max is getting them in sync with one another.

Higuain (Juventus): "Even when I was at Madrid, referees would come in go from the dressing room. I've played more than 500 games as a footballer, and never have I felt more cheated than yesterday against my old team. It's not a conspiracy when it keeps repeating." [MARCA]

He offered nothing going forward against RM in both matches, first match ok he played with Dybala so he had to do a lot of hold up and in my opinion played well, second match he was the only striker and had lots of support and I only ever really noticed him when he came back to defend

Really from a CF I expect more from him and I don't see a top player there if am honest, Perhaps converting Dybala to a centre forward in a 4-3-3 is our best chance at winning the CL going forward, I don't see why he can not do it as he has all the attributes he needs to play the role especially with the good quality wingers that we have

If it weren't for his contribution, we wouldn't have been playing vs Real in the first place.
+1

Fair though IMO for his critics to suggest Higgy hasn't earned the 90 mil fee. Still hope he stays next season. Would like to see him come in AS FIT AS POSSIBLE and see how it plays out. Don't want him using the early serie matches to get into shape.
