Still it must be said the way he hits a ball is different than 99% of the other players on the field. There is no windup but yet startling power.
Yup. That's why we need others to work a lot more for him. He has to do much more by himself here and I think that's why most attackers would struggle scoring a crazy amount of goals here.

Yep, that was Pogba-esque, didnt matter you have 2-3 on you, you just bulldoze with combination of power and skill.

This isn’t 94, Milan isn’t a big team anymore. We should be embarrassed if we were to have a hard time against this joke of a squad. Ours is a million times better. This Milan is horrible, truly horrible.

Having said that Higuain did exactly what is expected of him, fantastic finishing!
Ours used to be million times better with Dani Alves and Bonucci, and Sandro starting, but our fullbacks vs them are horrible, and their CBs (besides Zapata) are Rugani level or better (Bonbon), so our individual superiority defenitely diminished.

Tho overall quality, team and experience superiority is still significant.

I said the same and @IliveForJuve says we are making excuses for failure, when the truth of the matter is really we do not service him with direct chances much at all (Napoli used to serve him infront of goal alot). That first goal was pretty much all him, the kind of ridicolous explosive step and shot he has is uncanny. Reminds me of the Roma goal of his.

I have said this even before we bought Higuain. Our focus has mainly been on hard working players. Under Conte it was a hard working midfield over creativity. It has slowly changed under Allegri. The defense and goalkeeping has always been our main strenght during this successful run, but it has changed (which is why I don't get he isn't giving Berna and Costa more starts). But it seems like Allegri is proving me wrong once again and knows exactly what he's doing.

Oh. And it's fun to read how we look to struggle more this season, when we're in fact doing better than the start of the two last seasons.

I love this selective bias you have: criticizing him for past performances when he plays well and never bringing up his good performances when he doesn't.
I just said, in this very own thread, that he had an excellent game so I don't know what you're talking about.

Feel free to check my opinion on his last 2 games (before this one). I said he was good/decent.

So tell me, who's got selective memory? You or me?

He used to do that all the time last season but he wasn't doing it this season. He had been playing like a frustrated man.

He's missed easy chances this season, he's been unable to generate opportunities for himself as well, jeez, he couldn't even hold the ball and make simple passes when the season started and he was never in the right place either.

I don't need to make excuses for him when our team is scoring plenty but he isn't. He simply wasn't good enough but he's been improving and had a great game today.

We're only two months into the season so I don't really mind him being shitty until now if he can perform for the rest of the season but that doesn't mean I'll just suck his cock and forget his bad games.

To me Its always been easy to see Lewandowski is a World class striker, at time even the best. Him delivering on the biggest stage says it well

He will probably always be in the History books for those 4 goals against Real Madrid in a single SF match
Exactly, that performance was one of the best.

Thats actually really impressive, also shows he is a world class striker. Still wonder why he often seems to go in panic in CL though, must be some mental
