El Matador !

It's funny because i used to rate Higuain more than Cavani , and i was sure he would do better than Cavani at Napoli and he kinda did , but since he got fat , i would rather have Cavani over Higuain.

What makes you think Cavani was available?

PSG don't need the money

Excuses, excuses. We bought Higuain to win the champions league.
How does that work? Buy one player, and expect to win the Champions League? I know you don't think management is that naive.

Management has the goal of winning every competition we enter, because that's part of the club's identity as a European giant. Of course Juve bought a star striker to help boost us in Europe, but the club could have bought a lot of different forwards for 90M.

Buy the best players from your primary challengers, increase your odds of winning a title and gaining an all-time record that may last for 50 or even 100 years.

No? This club's identity is about Italian dominance. No?

Why would we buy players to make quarter finals? You know, you can build a team to win the CL and give yourself an even better chance to win Serie A. I highly doubt that Juve's directors would impose that kind of limit on the club. Higuain is meant to take us to the next level, not quarter finals.

He was good last year but it's true what they say about him. He's just one of those players that go missing in the biggest games. Has he ever not choked in a final? He has been isolated at times which is why he doesn't contribute to play as much. I would prefer a Higuain - Dybala duo with Bernardeschi behind.
1st part, management knows CL is a bit of a crap shoot. Agnelli has been around this team for his entire life, and he understands that the best team doesn't always win that competition. He's seen it first hand. The farther Juve consistently goes in CL, more money goes into the coffers, better financially positioned we are to compete with Europe's elite the following years. Rinse, repeat. We have made a pretty insane amount of money from CL the past few years.

2nd part, I would also love to see more of Fede on the field with those two.

Cavani was the dream back in the day! When he was at Napoli there was basically not another player I wanted more because of that work rate.

Unfortunately, pretty sure that ship has sailed. We do need another top striker as competition for Higuain, though. I thought Schick might be that guy.

Boo.

I think we overpaid for him tbh. He's a great striker, but not a game changer, and for 90 million you expect a player who can influence a game. Mind you, I love Pogba, but I also think Man. Utd. overpaid for him. He's not worth the amount they paid either.

The way people are talking you've think Higuaín played for us for like 3 years lol. Although Higuaín is known to flop at the big occasion, I can't blame our management for buying him; that last season at Napoli...

With that said although I'm somewhat beginning to give hope, he still has only been here for one year. Maybe he'll explode like Tevez did in his second season.

Maybe...

If im not mistaken he played as a striker in Atletico's last season where they made the final.
I didnt watch Atletico a lot of games as I see he can play forward some games cos their problems with finding classic striker. Torres is past. Also some other like Martinez couldnt adapt. He is nature fast wing and have at least to be behind one more striker. Its also not happines. This year he seems plays with Vietto as first forward.

This thread is disgusting. It's as if we're talking about Cassano.

Of course we did, but how is that his fault? There was a release clause and we activated it. Totally different from Pogba's sale.
