I watched the first half only but gotta say that Higuain was terrible.
I love the guy and I still think he'll score plenty of goals for us this season. But if the rumors were true then I think it's us to blame for not accepting the 100mln bid.
However, we're not going to sell him, apparently, so there's no way to start thinking of how we should play without him and which formation would suit us the best if he's not here. He's gonna be here and he's gonna be in the top 5 when it comes to minutes played this season.
I'm pretty sure his movement will get better but I don't expect him to shine. We're yet to see him as a burden in the upcoming years as he will start looking like old Gilardino when he's only capable of turning his ass towards the goal and waiting, guarding the ball while players spread around the pitch. That's one of the reasons I didn't like spending so much on him, because age will totally destroy his style and he will be quite frustrating to watch. Such players are a huge weak spot in modern football so he'll be a lot more useful in Serie A, but even in Italy his legs will start to fade away.
