It's like Barzagli winning the World Cup :shifty:
At least Barza played in the QF of that world cup. Managed to help keep a clean sheet too. :D

dem old fags will never admit Messi is one of the best players ever.
Of course he is. So is Cristiano. It's only braindead fanboys like the Afghan who make it so much fun to bash Messi beyond the pale.

Lol how am I a Messi fanboy? Im a Marchisio, Suarez, Tevez, Forlan, and Mandzukic fanboy but definitely not a Messi fanboy. Most consider him to be the GOAT while I consider him a tier below. I just feel that Ronaldo is very overrated and if you put Suarez or Lewandowski in Madrid they will have the same results.

No.

You don't understand football or Ronaldo at all then. And you vastly underestimate the importance of off-ball movement, of which he is the best of this era, and by a wide margin. There's a reason he is always getting open for tap-ins, there's a reason he is always in the right place at the right time to receive the ball in a position to score.

It's people like you who don't understand how huge a part of the game movement without the ball is. And C. Ronaldo is the best in the modern game with this. While Messi is certainly a more skilled and technical footballer, the end result is much the same as far as goals and assists goes, because Ronaldo is absolutely brilliant with his movement on the pitch. And that movement creates a huge number of goals and chances that no other forward gets because they just don't manage to get open like Ronaldo does.

Well I have said many times on this forum that Ronaldo is arguably the greatest of all time when it comes to off the ball movement. Not to mention the way he has transformed his style of play since his Man U days is almost unheard of to keep it up to that level.

However do not underrate Suarez. Messi and Ronaldo have never had to carry a shit team like Liverpool like Suarez did in his final season. For the last three years Suarez is superior to Ronaldo in every aspect of the game other than movement and heading ability. Unlike Ronaldo he can create something out of nothing with the ball, his link up play is far superior, his passing is far superior, dribbling etc.

Also Suarez is most definitely no slouch when it comes to off the ball movement. Just look at his goal vs us in 2015 fantastic movement on his part and there are countless other examples.

Lewandowski was a stretch but no doubt Madrid would at the very least be at the same level with Suarez in Ronaldo's place.

Suarez and Messi so damn superior to Ronaldo that Real Madrid has won 3 of the last 4 CLs with Ronaldo leading all of them in both goals and assists. :baus:
Hmmmm interesting.

It has nothing to do with Madrid having the best team but because Ronaldo got the most goals and assists. Doesnt matter if he scored 11 goals vs Shakhtar and Copenhagen in the GS then went missing in the semis and the final its still only down to him that they won.

I'll admit 2013-14 and 2016-17 were fantastic and sadly he pwned us both those seasons. However his 2015-16 seasons is one of the most overrated I have ever seen in my life.

And the season before he scored 8 with 6 of them coming against Roma, Arsenal, and Atletico.

I never said Suarez was superior to CR7 last season.
You are deranged.

Suarez equal to Ronaldo. What utter rubbish.

Over the past four years in CL.

Ronaldo 48 appearances - 55 goals - 17 assists

Messi 36 appearances - 35 goals - 8 assists

Suarez 28 appearances - 18 goals - 8 assists

So he's better at scoring and assisting. :hihi:

- - - Updated - - -

Anyways...

Higuain > Suarez

I keeeeedddd. :p

He's a fat choker but he's our fat choker

Suarez hasent even been playing in the CL for 4 seasons lmao.

Anyways focusing on these last 4 years is stupid as this is the period where Messi has begun playing a deeper role compared to before where as pre 2014 he was consistently outscoring and out assisting Ronaldo.

Nice excuses bud. I listed number of games played too. Only Ronaldo has scored more than a goal a game in this time period. And only Ronaldo has assisted 1 in 3 games or better.

And I could say that back over 4 years ago when Messi was outscoring and assisting Ronaldo, Ronaldo was more of a winger and played from much deeper.

Yay dumb excuses.

Face it. Ronaldo has surpassed Messi by a mile over the past 4 years. Cry your tears, get over it, and accept it.

Anyways, enough of this shit. Fanboy Messi outside the burger thread.
@lgorTudor

Over/under on Higuain scoring more than 2 CL knockout goals this year? :D

Well you have to go deeper than just looking at the goals and assists. You have to look at who they came against and overall performances. As I said 2013-14 and 2016-17 were immense by Ronaldo no doubt can't drag that down. However 2014-15 and 2015-16 were mostly filled with him with him stat padding vs teams such as Shakhtar, Copenhagen, Schalke etc. Then went he would actually score important goals it would come against Roma who were 3rd in Serie A and Wolfsburg who finished 8th in the Bundesliga that season while going missing in both the semis and final. Within this 4 year span Messi and Suarez were both quite clearly superior in the 2015-16 and 2014-15 CLs.

Dont come up with bullshit excuses now
Anyone who watched football back then knows Ronaldo did not play any deeper than Messi during that time period.

No matter how much you wish it to be true Ronaldo once its all said in done Ronaldo will never be considered at Messi's level. But atleast he will always have his own underwear line :baus:

:sergio:

Gives Suarez props for scoring in the group stage against Roma in 15-16. Bashes Ronaldo for doing the same in the knockouts.

And Messi superior in 15-16 :lol2:

Yeah 6 goals - 1 assist and knocked out is superior to 16 goals - 4 assists and a CL title. :lol2:
