Funny thing is its easy to say when I your home town club is in the beautiful capital of a huge football nation, decently sized club in fairly big and rich league. You are adored as a God, well paid and even if you rarely win it's fairly relevant top football level.

The players he is chastising, non of them would have that, to make it big and get paid they had to move from their homes and continent even. Someone like Higuain owes no real loyalty to Napoli, foreign team in foreign country he was in for some years to further his ambitions. He moves when he finds better opportunities. If it was about loyalty or love he would still be in River Plate. Or Real Madrid, recall Gonzalo saying favourite club while growing up.

Tottis pompous comment was to Pjanic too probably, but the player would never come to Roma where he was for nearly 6 years, if it was about loyalty. Ridicolous to compare his own privileged situation to everyone's.

Of course you're right. Anyone with half a brain knows how this works.

Besides, Totti hardly means what he says. He's a kindhearted fool. Explain the situation to him and he'll probably reach a different conclusion.

Well if his still undecided that would be one way to push him out of the club. Even if he stays we must respect and accept our decision, it was probably wrong but no turning back on it otherwise were making a fool of ourselves.

My italian teacher in colleve was from Rome. All she ever talked about was how the city adored Totti but how stupid the man was. His Italian is horrible apparently or whatever dialect he uses.

ADL told Napoli's fans they can call Higuain a "rubentinho" from now on.

 ADL  Napoli
Remind me to add that to my list if I forget it.

Totti has a very thick Roman accent. It's one of the more easily recognized accents and it's a pretty ugly one. If I had to describe it I would probably call it boorish.

And it's more than the accent. It's just the general way he speaks. Kind of slow and stupid sounding. It's why his famous line 'mo je faccio er cucchiaio' is so great. Because it has to be said with some sort of stupid and ill advised confidence.

He doesn't. I like Totti a lot and unlike most here I do respect the guy. But man he can be stupid. Remember last year when he never got to play? All he could talk about was 'respect for what he had done for this club'? You know why Del Piero never spoke like that? Because everyone knows only players who are finished bring up 'respect', it's as much as saying you're done.
