This is the game he needs to show his powa.

I suppouse we will have space in a lot of phases of the game because barca naturally attacks.. and will leave gaps.

I hope whoppermaster pounces

Well actually, other than Higuain, another 3 key players to our game against barca are

1) Cuardrado, he can really wreck barca's defense on the wing with his trickery and crossing, and attracting fouls while bringing the ball from deep.
2) Mandzukic, his strength and aerial power is going to be a problem for mascherano etc.
3) Pjaca, a very rare breed of player who has height AND pace, two things that barca defense always have problem with

as for Dybala, I don't think he will be very effective against barca as I think Barca will force him to drop into midfield, and he doesnt seem like the kinda player that can dribble from deep like cuardardo. Hope he proves me wrong.

Well it's not as if this is his first time playing against Barcelona. What's his record against them at Madrid?
Only 3 goals against Barcelona in 18 matches. He started only 10 of those 18 matches.

In minutes, that's 3 goals in 931 minutes (average: 1 goal in 310 minutes), and it's pretty bad.

:agree: Agreed on all accounts, except the Dybala part. I actually think Dybala will be impactful in the home leg of this tie.

Wow that is bad. is there's any team from CL who have had their ass ripped by higuain?

Looks like we already got our scapegoat if things go south

Not if we lose 3-6 and he scores a hattrick. Sorry but a 90mil strikers has to deliver at that stage in this kind of game or he will be labelled a failure.

I'm not asking for much, just 1-2 goals

He needs to take his chances. People keep talking about a lack of service but he is getting the ball at least a few times in each match in a position to score. His finishing has been poor in this slump. He's missed a dozen chances now since his last goal.

And this is the same reason he has only 2 goals in 22 CL knockout matches.

If he gets several chances over the two matches I expect him to take a couple of them. Otherwise he confirms his choker label.
