ST is a position that's being phased out. Look at all the best teams in the world. Barca has no ST. Real has Benzema who's more of an SS. Atletico Madrid doesn't have an ST, Torres comes off the bench. We could've gotten someone like Reus for that sort of money or Aubameyang for cheaper.

And Harry Kane is better than Higuain imo.
Suarez??
Benzema is not an SS.... he's a CF, a #9.
but it doesn't matter - we need more goals, and Pipita will give his share.

Now 94M is still stratospheric compared to our usual outlay but I'm sure our management has some long-term projections that factor other revenue increases aside from simply selling players that tell us such a fee would be palatable. That is much more likely than Marotta just waking up one morning and deciding to pretend he has oil money.
Indeed.

Today fitness and training routines guarantee that players can stay in shape even after 32. Just look at Ibrahimovic, Evra, Barzagli. I agree that Higuain won't have a high selling value after 32 years, but this is not the case here. The point is to invest in order to go as far as we can to the CL and get all those dollars from TV revenue having in mind that no other Italian team can do the same, so that means all those money are there for us to take.

yeh. This buy is not done having in mind to recoup any money with his sale.

This is done to deep and much as we can in the CL..for 2 or 3 years. That way we can recoup the money invested.

Don't feel bad though mang, chin up. I'm sure somebody, somewhere cares about your opinion. Or at least has the kindness to pretend to.

It's as though people think we can just pay Griezzman's release clause of 100 mil and he will leave Atletico running. Nope. Atletico has played in 2 of the last 3 CL finals. And while we are a great club, why would he leave that situation, right now? He wouldn't, unless some team offers him absolutely absurd wages.

WTF are you on about?

Suarez is a striker, through and through.

Benzema is also a striker.

These are modern strikers, who have great technical ability... The ability to create goals for themselves and others. Something Higuain also has.

And Harry Kane. You must not be serious.
Suarez and Benzema are more SS, they can create and hold the ball. Higuain can't.

Higuain can hold the ball. Clearly.

And just because a striker has the technical ability to create does not make them a #10

Bonucci has the ability to create, he's no more of a #10 than Chiellini is.

They are #9s. Who have World Class technical ability. Being a #9 doesn't mean you're a donkey.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have no ST simply because they got Ronaldo and Messi, and use different playstyles.
Bayern uses an ST to very great effect, PSG did and will do, other clubs follow suit.

Harry Kane better then Higuain. Its time to stop posting for a while and come back later when you are more collected. I'm doing the same

What?? just look at his goals from last year (and older ones also), lots of goals are him getting the ball on the side all by himself and creating the goal with no help whatsoever.

Not every CF is an electric pole like Lewa or Mandz.

Some people are stuck in this 90s-00s world where only players like Inzaghi and Trez are #9's.

Most people on this forum are sharing my sentiment you dumb fuck. The majority of posts feel 94 million for Higuain is a bad deal and the money could have been spent much more wisely.

In every football forum I've come across fans from opposing teams are literally gobsmacked by the transfer. The only place I've come across people defending it is here with fanboys like you who can't seem to criticize a terrible piece of business because they are 'hardcore Juventus fans'. It's pathetic I don't know if its something that you feel you have to do because you're a recent convert or what but call a spade a spade in regards this transfer. 94 million for a 29 year old with no resell value, who has had one fantastic season that would justify 60 million (not 94) but who has been inconsistent his entire career, who has no marketability whatsoever is fucking stupid.

Lets allow ALC to cool down a bit. He is very upset about the big clause we pulled, its completely human. Lets wait till he had the opportunity to cool down.

Hence, its what i needed to do when Conte left and we got Allegri
