Promoted by World Champions Club (WCC) and by "La Gazzetta dello Sport" with the High Patronage of the Principality of Monaco, the Golden Foot award is intended for the players (at least 29 years old) whose merits be clear to everybody. They must be not only talented, in fact many players are talented, they must not only have achieved outstanding results as individual players and with their teams; they must have peculiar gifts: the players selected must stand out for their personalities, for their fair play and for the unconditioned esteem of the public and of the football experts The 2005 Golden Foot prize giving ceremony is to be held on 29th August next in Monte Carlo.
