Good player. Too bad he had to be our star signing. Would have been awesome if we signed him next season to play next to our star signing.

If Rossi wasn't Italian we wouldn't pay close to 30 mil euros for his ass.

No one said he's a shit player cause he's not but for that kind of price he better be a brilliant attacker which he isn't.

Watched him week in week out for two years now and he's nothing to get all excited about, good but nothing special.
What is the fair price for him?

We're talking about a league and a team that valued Andy Caroll at 35m?! Lol. How can anyone justify anything in the EPL?
That is just the way football is going these days. Crazy money being thrown around, its ridiculous and only gonna get worse. You can blame Chelsea and Man City for that..

Au contraire, it's gonna change for the better with the FFP kicking in to bring some semblance to teams that have crazy money to monopolise the market. May take time to come into full effect, but the shift is due, to stem such unjustified free spending. Juve is going to be the better for it. And even still, 30m should be better negotiated given we have little or no competition for the player.

Prices now mean that you virtually always end up saying a player "is worth XXm" but in the market their value is above that, the market dictates that sought after, in form players will be 'worth' more if their club are financially secure, because that is what they can ask for them.

Villarreal are a very small club in context though, I can understand them turning down €35m from Spurs (if it's true) in January as they had the bigger and more valuable picture to think about, but players cost less out of season and we shouldn't be going crazy for Rossi.
