We could have probably coped with the injury of our most important player Quag but the redcard by Melo came in the worst possible moment and the mentally weak team collapsed (btw one of the main reasons for the psychological weakness of our team in Melo).

The entire team having a poor mentality is certainly not Melo's fault and he can't be held accountable for them not being able to handle Parma and conceding four goals. Even if we played with nine players that should never have happened. The next next three games, again, shouldn't have been much of an issue if Melo was nothing more than a "good player" (read - interchangeable). After all, we had a supposed-leader in Marchisio waiting to step into his favoured CM role, no?

Saying he's one of the "main reasons" for the team being mentally fragile also makes no sense. His absence should have strengthened the team according to this view.

Trying to rest the blame for the team's implosion on this guy's shoulders only suggests he is (was) an essential player.

Simply "good" players aren't essential unless their alternatives are literally ball boys or something.

I reckon he is like 14 - 17m (I mean, Melo).

Anyway, watching Vidal games at CA i do not think he i MUCH better than Melo. He is really good with sliding tackles and for sure defenively looks very well but the difference between these two is just small in my point of view.

If we can get Vidal for 10 - 12m and than someone take Melo from us (like... 15m?) I will assess that kind of deal positevely. But I do not think that this change will gain us any HUGE BOOST OF QUALITY, comparing to what we have now.

have to agree with the over rated and this is what bothers me. Fans on here are willing to piss away 45 million in euros for this guy without a second thought then pay him 7.5 million a year for the next 5 but I say 20-25 million for rossi with 3.7 million a year over the 5 is more logical and a better move and im shit on .
