Man united is not as silly as it looks like!!!They won't accept Zala-Olivera-Money for Rossi. He has the quality to become a top class player while Zala-Olivera are more suitable for an average team, not a team that fights for the championship...Btw,which is his natural position and strong foot?

Zalayeta and Olivera for Rossi was not a serious suggestion.

Rossi is nuts about Napoli

Giuseppe Rossi is ready for a return to Serie A and will try his luck at Napoli, although Parma and Juventus are also interested.

“Giuseppe would be more than happy to play for Napoli,” agent Federico Pastorello told the 'News of the World.’

“He cares more about the future and the atmosphere surrounding the team than about money. In any case, he is worth around 10 million Euros.”

The Under-21 international was a sensation during his six-month loan spell at the Tardini, scoring seven Serie A goals in 19 appearances to rescue them from relegation.

Sir Alex Ferguson has now told him that he can leave Manchester United and several Italian sides are clamouring for his signature.

Napoli have made their interest clear in the past few weeks, hoping Rossi could fire up the notoriously passionate Stadio San Paolo crowd.

A return to Parma is also an option and so far this is the only club to have made a firm offer to Manchester United.

“We have met with Rossi’s agents. We had a recap of the situation, but we know that we have to wait for the return of United from the Asian tour before knowing something more about Giuseppe,” added Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi.

Juventus are not to be ruled out either, as this weekend Coach Claudio Ranieri – who got the best out of Rossi during that six-month Parma spell – indirectly praised the player.

“Raffaele Palladino has magnificent technique, but he needs to improve in his practicality,” said the tactician.

Palladino and Rossi are rivals for a spot in the Under-21 squad and this comment adds fuel to the fire of an already existing offer to exchange the two players with Manchester United.

Rossi Waiting For Napoli Move

Guiseppe Rossi's agent has reiterated that the striker is keen to join Napoli, and waiting for the club to come good on their unofficial interest.

Napoli have been the latest club linked with the Italian under-21 international, and it is a link that pleases the player.

"Giuseppe would be more than happy to play for Napoli," Federico Pastorello, Rossi's agent, told the News of the World.

"He cares more about the future and the atmosphere surrounding the team than about money. In any case, he is worth around 10 million Euros. He is waiting."

It is understood that Ferguson is happy to open the door for him if he lands Carlos Tevez, and that has got many Calcio clubs interested.

Parma also remain in the fray, refusing to throw in the towel. In fact, they are the only ones to have made an official offer even though it was found wanting.

"We have met with Rossi’s agents," offered Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi as an update.

"We had a recap of the situation, but we know that we have to wait for the return of United from the Asian tour before knowing something more about Giuseppe."

Viola join Rossi race

Fiorentina join the race for Giuseppe Rossi, while Chievo and Atalanta also make new signings.

This weekend Rossi’s agent confirmed he was looking for a return to Italy after Sir Alex Ferguson freed the Manchester United starlet.

While the usual suspects of Parma – where he spent the last six months on loan – Napoli and Juventus have been suggested, it’s now reported that the Viola are in the running.

Following the departure of Luca Toni to Bayern Munich and Reginaldo towards Parma, they need another new forward to replace want-away striker Valeri Bojinov.

It is believed that so far the Tuscans are the only club to have gone very close to the £8m requested by Manchester United.

Rossi would hook up with fellow Under-21 internationals Giampaolo Pazzini, Riccardo Montolivo and Arturo Lupoli at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Their other target to give a new dimension to the attack is Chievo’s Victor Obinna, who would be available for around £2.7m after their relegation to Serie B.

Meanwhile, Chievo have signed Palermo midfielder Maurizio Ciaramitaro on a one-year loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.

Atalanta have reportedly agreed a deal to take Leonardo Jose Talamonti on loan from River Plate.

Manchester United have sold Giuseppe Rossi to Villarreal with the move subject to a medical.

The Spanish side have beaten a host of Italian clubs to the highly-rated striker's signature.

Rossi spent the second half of last season on loan at Parma and he impressed at the Ennio Tardini.

United have decided to let Rossi leave Old Trafford as he is well down the pecking order in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans.

The impending arrival of Carlos Tevez from West Ham would push Rossi further out of the picture for a place in the starting XI and United have opted to let the Italian Under 21 international move on.

Villarreal have paid an undisclosed fee for the diminutive forward with the player expected to undergo a medical later this week before putting the finishing touches to the move.

Rossi will help fill the void left by the departure of Diego Forlan at Villarreal next season
