Making excuses for him? Let's not exaggerate; it's by no means a flawless policy. If you work for an organization and suddenly feel unhappy, it's the organization's responsibility to understand what is causing this dissatisfaction and attempt to rectify it. I get the impression Marotta and Co. are too pragmatic and don't make enough of an effort to understand the underlying causes some players choose to leave.

Beppe's is not a flawless policy, but the results to date have been solid. Vidal is the sale that really hurt, because management didn't replace his skillset at all. The others, not so much. Would we really want a moody, brooding Pogba, Coman, Bonucci, or Tevez hanging around such a tight knit group, not giving their all and poisoning the mood in the locker room? I don't think so. Three of those guys have had enough trouble with their performances as it is.

I also think it may be a bit of a draw for new signings, knowing that if things do go totally sideways management will let them move on. I think it's the right to do, an unmotivated player adds little and could have a bad effect on the locker room. But with saying this and often repeating it, it also puts you in a bad position during the negotations.

We're in a position where we'd need to break the vicious circle of appearing as a transit place, the more you let that happen, the more it stays in the mind of the prospective players when you think about the club in question.

Selling to buy will not get us a CL title

We have to increase the net spend or get some very promising youngsters to develop and turn into world class players if we want to get a CL title

The current transfer strategy will see us keep failing to best the bigger teams consistently

Generally we are capable of taking down 1 big team in our CL runs but if we run into more than 1 we don't seem to be able to do it

This season however our performances are well below par, it is not enough to win the CL with having only a 20 minute spell in every match while being on the backfoot for 60/70 minutes per game

Respecting one's contract is retarded? Some players are acting like spoilt brat, nothing forces them to sign for long term and if they did then that means they don't mind the club

I'm for letting go of players that have a problem with the management/coach/players, but besides that they need to be professionals
