I just don't get it. It seems like no one watched to see the weakness this last team had. I like both, but a counter attack with Mr No and Cuardrado just isn't good enough
Not to be mean or say that people on here dont know how to analyze but I tink some times people see the area getting exposed and think thats the problem when in reality its just the byproduct.
Mandzukic is meant to be a motor and go both ways but when he was pressed on that side and forced to sit deep to recieve the ball and defend he became useless and our mids got over ran because we had no outlets to stretch the field which made us predictable and compact offensively.
Everyone thinks Alves is a great player but even he couldnt get out of the pressure with his quick play because we were to far back. Having speed and a threat of speed helps that as well as being able to press. Thats my opinion anyway but it might just be our lack of cms

We do have to remember that with the best midfield in the world we still were getting overran in 2015. Vidal or any pther top cm wouldnt have changed that game to much IMO. At least not in the second half

Not good enough to be near favorites to win the CL thats for sure when our competitors can field the likes of MSN and Ronaldo and Bale. But with a lucky draw and us having a good day or them having a bad day, we can snatch this title. Thats the beauty of the CL and we were twice very close to winning it despite having a much inferior attack to our competition.

We nee to be firing on all cylinders when we meet one of those clubs and we need them to not be playing at their best. Could very well happen. I am not denying that our odds are better if we have Sanchez and the likes upfront ofc.

Against Madrid that left side was completely collapsed and in the second half no one could even retain the ball. You have to be able to do at least one of hold the ball or counter. The best teams can do both. I feel like this team was overreliant on defense and Higuain snatching a goal out of nothing.

I think having a true winger like Costa could give the change of pace to allow Pjanic some room to work. I thought Cuadrado would do that but for all his pace he seems to take it slow a lot of the time. I hope Marchisio is back at it this year because in a two man midfield I prefer him to Khedira. I like Khedira but that's not a two man midfield I would choose together.

Holding the ball and being able to counter or attack with great efficiency is related more often than not. The defense kept pushing up and we dropped back to defend them because we couldnt get behind them for long periods of time. Even if we sent a player through a couple of times down line with no end product and lost the ball deep in their half it would have been useful but Alves and Mandzukic couldnt do it and Dybala was forced deep and completely frusterated

If we sign this incredibly overhyped kid, will we bring his worthless brother along with him?

This little shit blackmailed a so-called big club to offer his brother a 1 million salary

Bring in a good GK and focus on spending money to strengthen outfield positions.

He's nearly 2m tall, how many keepers that big have you ever seen get down well? Hart is the same, every lanky keeper I can think of.

Ent-like keepers are at a disadvantage in the modern game not just because of the speed of the ball but the development of the sweeper-keeper role.

do you really think Donnar is the one?

I don't think that Donnar is what that the media is saying! (best replacement for Buffon and etc)
He needs to proof himself and is too soon to decide!
but that price is just a joke!
