We also had a CM of Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio and Pogba (plus Asamoah, Marrone and Giaccherini as options) at the start of that season. Verratti was a talent but also a Serie B talent and we weren't going to go into an auction with PSG on the basis of those two things.

Would Verratti have played as regularly here as at PSG? Almost certainly not, given Pirlo's introduction and us also blooding Pogba at the exact same moment.

Marotta: ‘Juventus don’t need Belotti’

Giuseppe Marotta praises Torino striker Andrea Belotti but Juventus "have a super attack which gives us guarantees”.

The Italian international is top-scorer in Serie A this season, leading to rumours he could leave the Granata in the summer.

Belotti has a €100m release clause, but it’s not valid for Italy so the Bianconeri couldn’t activate it they wanted to.

“Evaluations start from the moment a player goes onto the market and there are offers,” Marotta said after the FIGC elections.

“He’s a strong player, he’s Capocannoniere. Torino previously had a Capocannoniere, Ciro Immobile, in their ranks and he didn’t go on to confirm himself as a great player, though he is a good player and I wish him luck, as I do with Belotti.

“Are we following him? We like good football and he expresses it in the best way, but we have a super attack which gives us guarantees for the coming years.”

funny words from Beppe indeed. but yeh, kind uncalled for Inmobile. In fact, i find those words like a defensive mechanism because to be honst Belotti looks like the real deal, unlike Ciro.

Comparing Belloti with Ciro is so unfair for both. Ciro never showed the potential to become one of the most important strikers in the world, just the best we could get in that moment inside Italy. Belloti is so physical, IMO he would do great in EPL, Ciro wouldn't be able to stand more than 5 minutes per game there.

It was obvious, but some people here care too much about players rather than the club. He spewed $#@! and played like a dirty ass hole against us.
He is neapolitan right?.

Anyways, since he left pescara he was mad at us for not giving him the chance...while his other 2 pals went to big teams. Since that moment he despised us. Not our fault tho

If we are winning these games by small margains because we're trying to conserve energy then why is everybody still so 'tired'?

This squad isn't finished or even settled and I worry Beppe won't have enough time to fix is before Gigi retires :(

Conserving energy excuse is such bullshit.
Juventus plays half of its games like is conserving energy and yet Pjanic against Udinese at 85th minute could barely run or where was that energy in todays game when you needed it in second half to finish an opponent.Italian teams play slow football and thats it, thats why it just looks like they saving steam.

Our fitness staff is to blame. Folletti and Grani are the names
