I see what you mean now and agree about the inflated market, but that doesent mean we have to participate in it. We just signed Pjanic for 32M and Benatia for 3+17M. Opportunities like that are what we always focus on, i dont see why we suddenly would have to overpay for already expensive as fuck players to compete. We are better than that.

Benzema and Cavani are still better players. Cavani put on similar numbers to Higuain past 3 seasons despite being massively missused. Benzema is a constant performer in CL for years at Lyon and Real. Id take both over Higuain easily, that doesent mean Higuain is crap though. Hes still one of the best CFs in Europe but not worth what we paid. Hope we don't do shit like this again
No striker is really going to be worth what is going to be paid in this market when there aren't very many available.

I don't think anyone thinks that this is a great price for him. It's not. It is definitely overvalued, and the range by how much is subjective to ones personal opinion.

But he is in the prime of his career and his production is there for everyone to see. He makes this team a lot more dangerous than they were a week ago.

Would I want Cavani or Benzema instead of him? No. Would I pay 94 million for him? If he were 24 definitely. I wouldn't pay this much for him. But unless between now and Wednesday, a star striker is suddenly made available on the market for a lower price, this is who we are going to get. And to have Mandzukic as the main striker next to Dybala is not something that gives me a whole lot of confidence. Yes, he does the little things, the grinding, so to speak.

But we need pure goal scoring ability, from anywhere inside or outside the box, and there isn't anyone else out there that is available that does it better than this guy.

And I also think that this is the exception rather than the norm. We needed to make a statement that we are dead serious on winning everything this year or the next. I think that they looked at this as the opportunity to go for it.

Beppe done well, he's been able to steal pjanic and higuain from roma and napoli respectively. Also he's been able to leave ranocchia at inter which weakens their team also.

About instalments, who remembers that jewel we got to read on the forum once that if we buy with instalments and sell the player before we are done paying then we don't have to pay the remaining fees?

And for those who remember it, do you remember who said it?
 I remember that, can't remember who though.

Also Higuain will come firing on all cylinders..since this is pretty much his last contract for a top club while he is in his prime.

The fee is absurd....but we will get a goal scorer like no one in the league. He literally can score from every angle. If we can make him exorcise his demons from the past...he can turn into a legendary goalscorer.

therefore your opinion is invalid.
