" There are 2 reasons why you would change a coach: Because the team is doing bad or because it is the end of a cycle. Allegri is doing well and he is at the start of his cycle, this is why both parties want to keep on going together. I don't think he will find a bigger team than us and this is also why there are all the premises for a renewal. Conte ? We aren't thinking of Conte since we have a great coach in Allegri ".

Transfer Market ? "We wont sign many players in the summer because we will give our youth a chance to develop. Our intentions are to keep Pogba , like we did last year even if there were multiple offers. In all cases, the player's will is very important , like with Vidal last year for example. Arturo wanted to go to Bayern since they were offering much more money and we couldn't rival the offer he had received. Gundogan? It is easier to keep Pogba. Even if he wanted a move, I don't think he would choose the Italian league".

Berardi ? " I can't guarantee at a 100% that the player will join us since like i've said, the player's will is very important. Morata ? We want to keep him but it is up to Real Madrid" .
Maybe I am reading too much into this but it seems it is not upto morata as we had hoped. Marotta was just singling out the importance of the player's will in the case of Pogba, Gundogan and Vidal and when asked about Morata he says its upto Madrid. If this was indeed the case then we should never do this kind of deal again unless its for a bench player. We need stability upfront and we dont need the small profit. Mandzukic should definitely be our first choice in light of this info. He is here to stay.

This is really bad news.

What? Of course it's up to Morata, if he doesnt want to leave then Madrid can't force a player to sign a contract.

I wonder if Marotta's words might be different if Morata wasn't having such a mediocre season.

If marotta is not confident, what's the point to renew his contract?
Perhaps to make a statement to morata, basically saying if you stay here you'll be well paid. Also its far from certain that madrid will take him back. Marotta only said it depends on Madrid but didnt say much else.

We are playing with open cards towards everyone here and that is our biggest strength. Marotta reaffirmed that in simple words.

1.Would Real Madrid be willing to pay the clause and give him a starter contract we can't/won't match - its decided for him.
2.On the other hand he is pretty certain about his place in here. Our offer and ambitions are clear.
3.If a bid comes from a third party, he would be better suited going there from the position of an Juve starter, than a surplus to requirements in RM. That gives us another advantage.

I mean, marotta would not give morata a raise if morata did not have a say regarding his future.
And it's up to madrid statement could mean how madrid convince morata to back there.

I think if Marotta is saying that our deal with berrardi is pending his will the same applies to Morata,, I wouldn't read much into it..The negative part of his words is Pogba, if he is offered a lucrative salary -and he will be offered one- we can't prevent him from leaving,, and now l'equipe are reporting that these are his last months with us..if it's true I would be extremely angry at giving him the fucking number 10 jersey

He already said a few times beforehand that Morata's will is decisive.

I'm pretty sure Pogba is going to stay. We have no reason to sell and we have just started a new cycle after changing our team quite a lot last summer. This is the first season together for this group of players so I'd say we are just going to get rid of some deadwood and sign a few reinforcements.

I dont think its the same. Berardi is not tied to us officially in any way... but Morata is tied to a clause. I know a lot of peeps here say that if morata dont want to return, then we are ok... but i would like someone to explain to me this deal as im not convinced it is all on morata´s hand.

I mean...madrid did that clause because a reason. They didnt sold morata to us cheaply..just to be wrecked by some weird loophole in the clause. We are talking about millions. IMO, if they want to excercise the clause, there should be no way to impede it, not by juve nor morata....otherwise that clause would make zero sense if would be so easy to nullify.

If after called back, Morata asks to leave madrid is another matter... but IMO i dont think that this clause could be wipped just by morata´s will.

And about us giving the 10 to Pogba...sadly we had little say on this. We could have gone like "no way son, you have to earn it..." but then we would risk getting him upset and we all know that juve will do everything it takes to keep him, including giving him the 10.

When he leaves it will be a shame tho...lets hope it doesnt happen so soon..but i expect it to happen not so far away.

Clause does make A LOT OF SENSE! Lets say he is a ~ 50M striker, has his prime years ahead of him and his next contract would be at around 10mln(b.t.) for the next 5 years.

If Juventus were willing to settle for basic value(crazy idea) this would have costed RM>100M without this clause. Add to that should we sell him to another team they get the lion share of the profits.

Short answer: they have imho a rebate of ~ 20mils over his realistic value. They can always use those money and add them towards his contract... He is unlikely to be a starter, but he is homegrown player for them and could be the spanish poster boy in the euro... :(

Im not saying that the clause doesnt make sense, what im saying that doesnt make sense is that morata would be able to just say “i dont want to return“ and we are ok and keeping him.

IMO he should have no say on that clause, otherwise madrid would lose millions on this deal, selling him to us for 20 mils when in fact he is more valuable.

Because of this I dont think we will be able to say no when madrid exercise the clause
