Look, Mandzukic was a great signing, only a few complained about it because they don't like the player. Dybala though we overpaid a bit it was understandable and almost everyone is excited about it. Khedira was a great addition ahead of selling Vidal. Then came the Vidal fiasco. Selling Ogbonna was amazing and followed by a very smart Alex Sandro masterpiece, everyone praised him for this. Then came the Llorente charity. Cuadrado was always a interesting addition considering he is on loan and many have seen how good he can be. But you, DP84, zizinho and Hustini would not allow anyone to say anything about Vidal and Llorente. No one is arguing that Vidal wanted to leave, we are only saying that it might have been tackled in a better way. No one is saying that it isn't good freeing Llorente's wages but letting him go for free is lame, he has value and has two years left on his contract. When we got him for free he was out of contract. You and the people I mentioned tend not to read any posts when we praise Marotta for the good deals but go searching like a weasel to find the smallest of complaints to defend it. It's really a disgusting attitude to be honest.

I will say it again, simply and as unbiased as possible: Marotta can't sell. He sucks at it and that is his worst attribute. Do you agree? Because that is what I think. As for Vidal, we all wish he went for a bigger sum, but 37m is a lot if use properly and I see the reasons why we made the move happen (or let it happen the way it did). Zaza is a decent striker especially for Italy and IF we decide to sell in a year or two I see us making up most of that money. He will be a good back up striker. If, in a year, he does nothing like Llorente did last year I will apologize and say I was wrong.

Lastly, we still have a few days left in the mercato so I will wait for my final full judgement to see how all these strange puzzle pieces fit together, if they do at all.

I forgot, you mentioned Llorente as well. I have hardly said anything actually because my theory is rescinding his contract was our way of freeing up wages for another player we need. Does it make sense to overpay for him as 5th choice and him refuse to go anywhere or other clubs interested not want to pay up? We probably took the chance to free up the 20m in wages over the next couple years which IF Marotta signs someone big in the coming days would make this make completely sense. If Beppe does not then not only did the Llorente move not make sense that would ultimately make the Zaza one that much worse.

You can agree, disagre, I could care less these are my theories I don't know what the other people you listed all say because I don't read hardly any of their posts to be honest.

Jack, its quite difficult to give fair criticism, when Team_Pathetic and others are irrationally negative. You know this. Its a human reaction to go in the defensive if your conversational partner is overly critical.
I dont fully grasp why we changed idea about Llorente, but we do are saving 20mil in wages over 2 years.

I've always known Marotta can't sell, however, for a while now I've felt like the things he has done well overshadow the bad (and he has had some shitty deals). I only choose to dwell on the good as often as I can because I feel its more constructive for the forum.

I agree with Hustini on pretty much everything, apart from the selling.

He's decent at it. Not good, not "sucks bad", but decent. We have sold plenty of players for wich we could find clubs. Some others we didnt manage to, but there was usually a difficulty attached.
Amauri, Iaquinta, Llorente, players with insane wages, that reject every team apart from their home poor as shit home country, and were considered in decay by teams who could carry those wages.

As brilliant as his buying is, his selling is just decent.

Ill be honest, im mad that we sold a monster CM in vidal (even on bad form) for peanuts and his supposed cover is a freebie made of glass. This is not good no matter how you look at it.

Some would argue that we need a Draxler type of player more than Dybala. Not getting a trequartista is not ambition.

I don't think anyone pretends the negatives don't happen. For me, in particular, I try to justify them by trying to understand why they happened.

I agree with the rest of this, but after selling Tevez we absolutely needed some sort of versatile SS to replace him, and Dybala was the perfect signing for that. We overpaid by probably the 8 million in bonuses, but 40 mil was what clubs were willing to pay for him, and we went for it.

Not getting a good CAM would be a massive failure at this point. Beppe has had more than enough time, and has clearly stated that money is not an issue.
