Nah Marotta is a weak director, all the players he signs only come because they ask to join Juventus taking half the process away from Beppe so he doesn't have to convince anyone. We got lucky with Pirlo, Tevez, Vidal, Bonucci, Barzagli, Pogba, Morata, Mandzukic, Asamoah, Evra, Dybala, Sturaro, Rugani, Khedira, and Lichtsteiner because they all asked to be signed by the club.

Next year Berardi will want to join and again Marotta only needs to print the contract because he can't convince anyone to come.
Marotta proved himself as a great Guerilla warrior, identifying opportunities and seizing them. He recognized when clubs committed mistakes and abused it. But it's pathetic to use Rugani, Pirlo, Dybala, Vidal, Pogba, Sturaro, Evra, Khedira, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah trying to make the point that "Marotta is great at convincing". The skill at these transfers was not to convince but to recognize that these players will be useful. That's where Marotta excels. He is a spotter, he spots and prays that nobody spotted the player too.

He has not proven himself on the highest level with WC players yet. He hasn't proven to be strong or persuasive yet. Of course is restricted by our limited financial means but even within our possibilities he behaves clumsy and aimless.

The fun part is that all around Europe, Marotta is held in high regard for his ability to find good deals and build an incredibly good team on a tight budget.
That includes analysts from the EPL that hate everything italian

But YOU said that he isnt proven on the highest level offcourse.

Whats the level above "allmost trebble" on a 17mil midfield ? Plz tell me

reading comprehension

on signing an AM, what can Marotta possibly do when none is available?
Think ahead and not sell Vidal.

For the "he wanted to leave" folk: There is a Juventus signature required on the release papers, you know.

I agree that without Vidal Juve is weaker, but our creativity problem would still be there even with him. He made a mistake by letting him go, but what can he do now?

Yeah, keep a 4.5mil wage player thats all about heart and motivation, unhappy and unmotivated wich crashes his fee.

You can pull that shit with younger players, as they barely drop in value, but not around Vidals age.

We allowed Zidane to beg his way to madrid, and we allowed vidal to beg his way to bayern. Deal with it

8 is worse than 10
5 is worse than 10

but 8 is better than 5

Nobody would have ever complained about the lack of AM transfer activity if no key player got sent away

Yes, every player who gets a (supposed)transfer wish denied plays like crap. All the thousands of players every summer.

It was all a long con. Marotta wanted to fool all the fans into thinking he was trying to build the club to compete in CL finals when in reality it was all a ruse to make us a mid-table club in the end. Pretty good trick, don't you think?

I can't figure out how high is the level of irony in your post but all i see from Marotta this summer is that he acting like we didn't just play a UCL final and we didn't just get a new very consistent deal with Adidas, he seems to either be topped by his position in one of world's elite teams or just not being let from above to do his job properly and not receiving sufficient trust and funds.
