Seems like when beppe makes early moves on the market (dybala/khedira) might imply other big names going out (Tevez/Pogba)??

- - - Updated - - -

Usually when he deals late in summer no one big leaves.
dybala for sure. the price paid for a guy who only had one good season and only 1 year left on contract imlplied we were desperate to have a plan b for tevez leaving.

khedira ehhh. more like he was brought in because he's a good player and he's free. and more in case pirlo leaves. he's a good player while the other back up options in midfield sturaro is still a question mark. and maybe because we still not sure if vidal might need surgery.

That is a stretch to say that. There is no history of him doing that at all.

Might that change this summer? Perhaps, but at least it would be early on so that he can reinforce the club with plenty of time

I figured it was a stretch but I couldn't help but notice the extreme change in transfer activity this summer and wonder if it's a sign of prediction.

well we did reach cl final. and earned extra income. so that allowed us to reach out to targets that we may have been more resered with had we say got knocked out the group stages

I think Dybala + Khedira + Mandzukic + Berardi + Zaza (even if I don't like Zaza) would have to be considered a good mercato.

So Tevez will leave, and he was our best player last season, but there's no point in keeping an unhappy Tevez, he'd be trouble. We've seen it almost everywhere he's been.

Pirlo might go. If he's prepared to accept a more bit-part role I'd keep him, because I still think he can do things our other players can't, he just can't play 50 games a season anymore. But if he leaves it won't destroy us.

I like Llorente, but he doesn't fit in Max's system, so him leaving isn't a disaster.

As long as we keep hold of Vidal and Pogba then Beppe and Paratici deserve a lot of credit!

Dybala
Khedira
Rugani
Mandzukic
Berardi
Zaza

All before the window even opens.
Very 90s Juve type of mercato. I wonder if there's still room for an AM and RB. I doubt Berardi will play for us this season. Also, makes you wonder if we are spending all this money because Barca has already paid us for Pogba. :D

Doubt the likes of Isla, Ogbonna and Llorente will make us more than 17-18m in sales. Pepe etc may go for free. Good to see 85 pct of the mercato in place before our summer camps have begun. Gives Allegri a good start in preseason.

The money we spent has absolutely nothing to do with Pogba's sale.
We were expected to spend atleast €80m this yr with all the money increases we getting from various deals.

we spent so far*

We still need an AM and RB technically speaking, since Allegri has specifically mentioned the former, as a requirement. With Tevez leaving, and before Llorente is sold, we have signed Mandzukic and Zaza knowing full well the AM will not come cheap. We've spent the 'expected 80m' already. The only way an AM comes is if a big move happens from our midfield. Khedira on a free has kind of made that possible even though there is a drop in quality if we lose Pogba or Vidal. But the only way the loss of Tevez can be compensated is a proper trident perhaps. So unless Jovetic comes in on a loan with option, I think we are gunning for a big money Oscar/Isco move with Pogba or Vidal outgoing. I don't agree with losing either player but I am not sure how else this operation could work out.
