Marotta: ‘Juve will keep Pogba’
By Football Italia staff

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta says the club wants to keep Paul Pogba - ‘our goal is not to weaken the team’.

The French midfielder has been linked with clubs across Europe, with the player’s agent Mino Raiola saying this week that ‘all the big clubs are interested’.

“Our goal is not to weaken the team, but to strengthen it,” Marotta told Mediaset.

“Pogba is someone we want to keep, not sell.”

The Bianconeri are having an extraordinary season, with Serie A already won, a Coppa Italia final to play and the Champions League final within reach.

Despite this, Marotta says a new contract for Coach Massimiliano Allegri will only be discussed at the end of the season.

“He’s intelligent and capable, a winner who has won the Scudetto and reached the Coppa Italia final, he’s doing an extraordinary job.

“I’m against having a Coach who’s contract is expiring, we want to make sure there is serenity and trust, and the extension is a formal act which we’ll do when we’ve finished with our important commitments.
:delpiero:
“After the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, that’s when we’ll meet and talk about the contract, and only then. Allegri has done an outstanding job.”

He is also against buying a team of players outright. I mean who else in footballing history can honestly say that they have loaned with option to buy their way to a treble seriously who? Meanwhile somewhere in Rome the anti-marotta called walter sabatini is probably locked in the same dark room as rudi garcia's missus

The butthurt and sheer ignorance from a lot of those posters is breathtaking. EPL fans are a special breed of moronic.
ofcourse you are bound to find ignorant ones amongst them, neutrals barely watch Serie A anymore, but also on the thread there are tons of sensible respectful posts, some surprisingly knowledgeable. Frankly ask yourself this, would this forum have a basic discussion about an EPL team without turning into infantile who can insult the English more contest?

Doesn't matter, we rip into the English because of their arrogance and ignorance, not so much because of their teams. And the average poster on here knows A LOT more about the EPL than those clowns do about Serie A.

I'll tell you something. I don't watch much German football, I don't go into the Bundesliga threads and spout off nonsense about teams I have zero idea/interest about. Because that's what most of these online EPL fans do about us, it's astonishing how little they actually know about us and the pre-conceived rubbish opinions they have about Italian football.

I don't see how the majority of the posters in that thread seemed "respectful" there is a clearly a patronising and butthurt theme amongst their supporters about our success. "Shit league", "they only sign players no one wants", "lucky", "The papers are over exaggerating their success", "flavour of the month, this years Atletico" etc
