Ogbonna was clearly overpaid at the time he was bought and everybody knew it then. He came from a weak to regular performance for Torino the previous season, along with injuries.

Let's not kid ourselves and pretend Pereyra isn't going to be bought. Have we done any business with Udinese where we aren't obligated to buy the guy afterwards? Look at Motta and Isla lol. Pereyra is already bought for 17M. Part of the overpricing is the long installments. Loaning before is just a way to extend the payment through 1 more year.

Regarding the coach, demanding Sneijder over Shaqiri is not reasonable.

And I'm sure Allegri wouldn't mind having Shaqiri. This was Marotta's and Paratici's decision. We just fucked it up. Hopefully things we'll remain as they are. If we pay 8M for Sneijder on huge salaries this will be a tragedy. Case for summary sacking of Marotta & co.
Different types of deals. Mota and Isla were co-own, while Pereyra is on a loan. There's nothing that will oblige us to make a deal permanent if he remains disappointing.

Allegri wanted AM, since he believes this team has all the requirements for sucessful implementation of 4-3-1-2, needless to say that it was his preferred formation in Cagliari, Milan, etc.... Shaqiri cannot play at that role adequately and Sneijder at that spot can offer infinitely more. Perfectly reasonable to give Allegri players with characteristics that he needs for his system.

Marotta is not going to be able to take us to the next level, we need to move on.
You think if we changed director they would bring us susperstars and we'd be spending 30 plus mil on players?
