“Unfortunately, I have to go but I want to make clear that this was never my desire. Like anyone who works, I’ve always wanted to progress. After winning La Décima [Real’s 10th Champions League title] I went to the World Cup with the hope of receiving a gesture from the board, which never arrived. Many things and many lies were told. Someone may not like me. The only thing I asked for was something fair. There are many things that I value and many of them have nothing to do with my salary."

Real bought Di Maria for around 35mln. Now, after many years of his great performances, you think he's worth 40?
He wanted out.

"75mil" is not his normal price

Not just that CL but he was wonderful whole season. Actually he was great ever since he joined Madrid.

Di Maria is worth 50mln at most while Morata who played 50 minutes for them is worth 20mln (which was not a robbery) :agree: it makes sense.
Fine, 40 mil, 50mil, name it

But not 75 mil, lets agree there please

Di Maria is worth 75M based off his performances in big games alone. Whenever Madrid was struggling and you'd see one guy giving everything to turn the team's fortunes around it was always Di Maria. Been like that since he put on their shirt. CL, Classico, Copa Del Rey, whatever. He was always there when needed.

Clearly they are too busy paying top salaries to their new galacticos.

Do you know what sucks most about the terrible mercato this time around? All the failures will be put on Allegri and Marotta will once again get away with his crap.

MVP doesnt mean anything if Madrid doesnt give a $#@! about you.

If Madrid wanted to keep Di Maria, then he would have gotten a new contract and remained there.
It was actually the price I was writing about comparing the price of that error idiot Luiz and Di Maria .But as always your way of thinking is awesome in wrong direction.
