Let's forget that Barzagli is injured for 3 months, Carcares is RB, while Bonucci and Ogbonna are error prone. That leaves us only with Chiellini as somewhat reliable CB, and even he doesn't offer guarantees like he used to.
Dude, you just basically ripped our defence into pieces by highlighting their weaknesses to justify a signing of a 6th(!) defender. Who exactly do you think we're signing, Thiago Silva? We're signing a reserve who's job could easily be filled by Bonucci, Ogbonna or Caceres.

Highlighting their weaknesses?

Cacares is a RB and Barzagli will be out for a while. We need someone to fill in the role.

Bonucci and Ogbonna will fill Barzagli's absence. You don't have to give out 3 year contracts because a player is out 3 months.
Neither Ogbonna or Bonucci have been reliable so far, and 3 months is quite a lot of time to be without someone more capable to replace Barzagli. Isla - Savic straight straight swap would be ideal.

What's the point of keeping Ogbonna and Bonucci then? We won't get a better defender and we shouldn't go for one at all. Wasting time and resources for defense just when we have no single am/winger in the squad is ridiculous. Same thing could be said about other signings. I don't see why both Romulo and Pereyra are needed at the same time too.

Why the $#@! do we need yet another defender? This is $#@!ing ridiculous and preposterous.

Buy an AM/TQ, cuz that is a $#@!ing PRIORITY considering that Allegri wants to deploy a 4-3-1-2 formation.
This would make sense with you consider Barzagli is ageing, and we'll keep the 352 forever.

It's like making the squad perfect to keep 352 and rotate with quality. But with absolutely no possibility of changing the scheme.

At the same time, Marotta has openly admitted that there will be a transition to another scheme eventually.

So it makes no sense at all.

Lol just because Barzagli is getting old, doesn't mean we should be signing CBs who are 1/100th as fucking good as him. It's not like we're going after a top defender to replace him is it. We're eyeing up absolute fucking useless crap like Savic and Zapa

The acquisition of Romulo was an incredibly stupid move and the loan of Isla without the commitment or even the option to buy.
Romulo was not only a very bad transfer decision, but also cancel the effects of other transfers, it will minimise opportunities for Maronne and Coman
and add further pressure on the right flank, whilst the left flank already had lesser depth.
The ammount we have commited on all those mediocre players proves that we could opt for few but great ones and yet we have opted once again for quantity over quality...
So my updated note on our mercato so far becomes 8-2= 6/10

I don't understand this logic, considering how both deals are the same and Isla has been utterly useless. Romulo doesn't need to do much to be an improvement on him.

I also don't see Romulo impacting on Coman, and Marrone has always looked like leaving (Palermo).
