I can't definitively say you're wrong.

I mean, Conte cried for strikers. Marotta gave him Tevez and Llorente for 9M fucking euros. The result was that we could not advance past the group stage vs. Mancini's Galatasaray.

Conte's answer is to put none of the blame or responsibility on himself but instead to put the board under tremendous pressure and put them in such a difficult position, trying to improve the team and keep this petulant coach happy.

How many world class players does he need Marotta to provide him for pennies on the dollar? Pirlo, Barzagli, Pogba, Vidal, Tevez. What's the cost there? 20M?

Conte cost the team 25M alone by getting 1 win in 4 matches vs. a team in Denmark and Gala.

 Manchester City's board should have resigned twice in the last years then.

Mike, right now it's all assumptions of course. Why do you think Conte left? (It hurts to even say this now. I still can't believe this is real.)

Do you think he intended to fuck us up with his timing?

If by reading Conte's comments, and saying that this was a journey, then the possible/ now probable sale of Vidal might have been the last straw. But this works both ways though. If there was something in the air about Vidal possibly being sold, wouldn't it have been in everyone's best interest to say "Guys, please don't sell Vidal"?

The timing of all this just doesn't make sense, and let's look at something else here. Out of the starting XI for Juve, 9 of them went to the World cup. It could be argued that Tevez definitely should have been there, and that Llorente had a legitimate case to go as well. Out of those 9, 7 of them were VIdal, Pogba, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah, Bonucci, Pirlo, and Barzagli.

What do they all have in common? They were brought over by this management team, and 3 others that are not in the starting XI (Caceres, Isla, and Marchisio) all went to the world cup as well.

So did COnte make champagne out of a bucket of lemons here?

Marotta is doing a good job, he is last one to blame. Also Fabio Paratici, those two --- fine job considering the lack of money and prestige in Serie A.
:agree:

I blame Conte for the shitty timing. Pathetic

I still trust this management because they were able to get these players

It's a project. It was a collective effort. Conte wanted to go places after 3 years crushing Serie A. The club has other plans apparently. Vidal must be the cherry on the cake.

I keep reading this, where and who does it come from? Or are we merging his old comment with a transfer rumour?
See, at times such as this, unconfirmed blithering from useless journos becomes pure, unadulterated, 100 % fact, as it provides a convenient explanation for a "catastrophic" event. Conveniently, it also serves up evil incarnate in Agnelli and Beppe.

What would those other plans be, if not to go far in the Champions League? Why would Juve, a self sustaining corporation (because that is what it is), not want to increase its revenue stream by going far in the Champions League? Does that make any sense at all? Their objectives would be to somehow not succeed in the Champions League?

Maybe he wants to go to a club that can simply open up its checkbooks whenever they want to and get whomever they want to. I would think that is the dream of every top flight coiach, but Juve isn't that club. It would be different if they were that way for the past 3 seasons and suddenly said "Nope. we need to close ranks. No more spending". Hell, I would leave too. But this was a project. Everyone knew that. Everyone also knew that losing out on the CL revenue hurt big time for this year, and that the new TV revenue and Adidas sponsorship was going to help for next season and going forward.

I could understand if there was no transparency here, but everyone has a decent idea of what the league and the club's financial status is, and knows full well that this club isn't owned by oil barons, or even owners such as De Laurentis and Palotta who have no one to answer to in regards to the money they spend.

It just hurts, because I feel like he is leaving when this club needs him the most. This club was certainly still good enough to win Serie A this year, and with another year under the belts of Tevez and Llorente could have been in a better position to make a better CL run.

You don't get Morata if you want to challenge in Europe, Sergio.

You are ripping shid up today with ur posts sergio. Good stuff.
Maybe because u are older and wiser than most of the young junkies in this forum?.

Again..... Even if Conte wanted this and that... HE KNEW OUR BUDGET and our realistic buys. We all understand his desire to get superb players,,,, but if he is not ready to work with what we have and can offer...HE SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED EARLIER.

Juventus IS A BUSINESS first than everything....and needs to be kept afloat, that priority comes before serie A and CLs. This team just cannot go out and splash everything like the top money teams do.

About Vidal and Pogs... WE DONT FUKING KNOW GUYS... lets waut and see if the board decided to sell or not....but we cannot start a blame game on unnoficial rumours

You don't get a 21 year old prospect who was regarded enough by the best club in the world to insist on a buyback clause?

You don't get a 21 year old winger who by all accounts is very highly thought of by anyone who asks about him?

Do you think that Llorente would have been able to hold up for all of those matches and maintain a consistent level with no backup for him?

Or do they just go all in for Sanchez and that be the beginning and the end of their transfer for the year. How much better do they become with only Sanchez and nobody else?

This works both ways here. Juve, if they were to get Sanchez, that very possibly could have been it. It would have been doubtful that the could have even gotten Evra.

'We wont sell our best players, unless we get stratospheric offers'..He's repeated this many times.
Yep. And i assume that will remain like that.

Signing Iturbe and Morata for double the transfer fee of Sanchez is NOT doing a good job.
oh for fucks sake. double ? Stop beeing cronios man. Sanchez is 40mil+ and 8mil wages

So, you think we should get sanchez, and start the season with 0 attackers on the bench ?

Yeah, thats an AMAZING plan...

 People are insane to demand to invest all in 1 player, and be without ANY WINGER OR FORWARD ON THE BENCH.

Sorry, thats impossible

So sick about hearing about the friggin' bench. Marotta has had several years to get the bench in order. People even used that as an excuse to get Pepe and Matri and others throughout the years. What happened? We are left with no bench and no coach.

Yet some STILL defend him like a GOD!
