I always believed in h. He had a tough job but really his only big mistake was paying to much for Giovinco. Last season he had to invest in quantity because we needed a big squad for CL so it was hard to get the big players we were looking for. He has done a great job since he arrived and deserves the credit he is getting right now.

@Cronios

This summers mercato: rate marotta 1 thru 10.

Ready. Go.
Too early, but our primary targets are already met, so this gives him the base 5, at worse case scenario, at a good price too makes it 7 minimum, if he completes in the same mood and add the secondary target ( starter LB like Kolarov) Its at least 8/10 in my books.
For the last two points i would like to see him sell players for decent prices, there is a rumor that he will achieve that as well with Giacche and maybe Matri too.
So from there he just doesnt have to ruin it with a stupid move like selling MArchisio, Vidal or Licht cheaply.
Penaties would aslo apply at losing talents like Masi with more loan deals with the option to buy in ridicuosly low prices, but it is said that even there he added a fine touch by adding a buy back clause!

If those rumours are to be confirmed, its a solid 9, i reserve the 10 for not buying new Padoins/Pelusos, like Diamanti or Bonaventura.
So even wihtout the a Jovetic or Higuain, he can reach a 10/10 from on of his greatest critics!!
He has been flawless and finally delivered everywhere, even in the small details i insist for years.

I know that Italian clubs are up against certain handicaps at the moment, i do not expect miracles from him, just achieve what it can be achieved and avoid making more of the same mistakes!
The planning so far was flawless!!

That's very interesting that Marotta could conceivably get a 10/10 from you when only a short while ago you said he was incapable of signing big stars, it was beyond him, he could not take us to the next level and needed to be replaced. How do you go from that to a potential 10/10? You were obviously way off base in your initial assessment of him. Too bad you didn't realize it sooner...would have prevented many, many overlong posts.

It's more like jumping to false conclusions and reporting them as fact before the experiment is completed, instead of waiting until the experiment is completed and getting all the proper facts and data.
