How can someone thinks the person that gave this team its best year, brought the best players and gace Juventus so much success is responsible for destroyibg Juve when it was proven time and time again that it we were set up.

Its understandable to not like the guy, but to accuse of destroying Juve is laughable.

Nope. Back then, finals were played midweek. This Saturday change only took place 2-3 season ago to maximize television viewing and revenues I believe.
No, the Saturday CL final started two years ago.

After that terrible evening against Dortmund I never thought that I will be as heartbroken on a football match again. It took only a year :sergio:
Ahh yeah indeed, The worst final for me was the one against Madrid in amsterdam, first i couldnt get tickets for it then later that stupid 'offside' goal by iirc Mijatovic. sad sad day that way :(

It pains me to think how we got beat by Madrid in that '98 final when their side was so average and we had destroyed everyone in the competition. We should at the very least be sitting on 3 EC/CLs and not the two.

It will be interesting to see how Beppe does when we break even and get into the green, because IIRC for all the time Moggi was with us, we were never in debt.

  For me, it's difficult to choose between the Dortmund one, and the Milan one. In one, we were overwhelming favourites having gone the entire campaign undefeated, and in 7 previous encounters had defeated Dortmund 6 times if I'm not mistaken. In the other one, we'd overcome the 2 Spanish giants, Barca, and Madrid (who were both favoured over us might I add) to reach our first CL final in 5 years.

Losing 3-1 against Dortmund, and on penalties (with Nedved missing) to Milan were two extremely painful blows. We really should've had at least 4 CL titles by now.

Fuck Milan and Inter  :touched:

Madrid weren't average Bro. They had a pretty decent squad with Seedorf, Karembeu, Raul, Suker, Mijatovic, Hierro, etc... They were a pretty solid outfit.

The 98-99 semi against the red cunts also baffles me. We should've won the first game @ Old Trafford by a 2 goal margin (and it would have been game, set and match then), but for all our dominance and missed chances the mancunts scored in the 89'th minute to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat. In the 2'nd leg, I'm still mystified as to how we conceded 3 goals at home when going 2-0 up inside the first 15 minutes. Fuck United. Then, they rode their luck against Bayern (who have been extremely unlucky in CL finals against English opposition) to lift the trophy and win the treble that year :sigh:
