there is no wasted money if the nett value increase of players bought, is higher then those of failed players selling price.

We didnt got a forward, because none fit in our financial capabilities.

And yet, we are on the way of achieving our season goals, so that striker comming a year later doesnt seemb to have really made an impact
That's a big IF and also depends on the inflation of the market for players as well. But then again, we bought Boakye but don't use him, we paid a lot for Isla and Asamoah and Giovinco, I'm no guru but I firmly believe that within this summer alone we could have attain enough money to buy a striker by not pay Udinese prices and not getting the midget.

And thus the whole argument between he's done a great job and he's shit devolves again.

He's done a very competent job, yes. He has and continues to waste money, yes.

Re: Melo etc: Oh so I can't judge him on his ability to sell players he didn't buy? Where does this arbitrary rule come from? But you just praised him for it?

B+, capable of better.

But Isla and Asamoah are both worthy transfers. I don't see why we should ignore opportunities if they arise, just because we want a big name striker.

You can judge him on his ability to sell players, but to be fair you have to take account of the players and the contracts they are under. Marseille offered 3m for Amauri after he hadn't scored for a full season, we accepted and Amauri said 'No'. What can the SD do here?

I don't see any waste of money in the 2012/2013 transfer window and there's none of it thus far. Peluso is requested directly from Conte and bought at an appropriate price.

I take everything into account, the wonderful signings of Licht, Pogba, Vidal, and Pirlo as well as Elia, Krasic, Padoin, Matri, Motta, Motta (He will be counted twice dammit), as well as the middle of the road signings of Quag and Pepe for a combined €18M

For players he's had to pay for, thus far, he's had three roaring successes in Licht, Vidal, and Bargzagli perhaps Storari.

Everything else is debatable in terms of proven use, and the ratio of value to ability of the transfer.

The man can clearly offer good wages...

Morotta's done pretty well overall. He's gambled and had things turn out in the positive. Juventus fans are right to be pleased with him.

It will be interesting to see how does in the next few summers when he has to compete in a more difficult marketplace.
