Deals with both Amazon Kindle and Apple fell through due to the share size of the book and all of the "jibberish" it contains, to quote a few of their representatives.

We're looking into alternative solutions for the "digital problem".

Juventus: Llorente yes, Cavani no

football italia

Juventus transfer chief Beppe Marotta is confident of signing Fernando Llorente for 2013-14, but insisted that Edinson Cavani is an impossible dream.

Juve are believed to be on the verge of agreeing personal terms with the Spanish international who will be available on a Bosman from Athletic Bilbao in June.

“We are interested in Llorente,” he told Radio 24. “I’m hopeful and optimistic that we can define everything, but he’ll only arrive in the summer.

“For now we are looking at any opportunities to improve a squad that won the Scudetto – if any exist.

“Napoli striker Cavani? He’s unreachable for us and any other Italian side,” he said of the €63m valued striker. “He can only be signed by the Arabs or Russians.”

The Old Lady recovered from a slow start to 2013 with a 4-0 win over Udinese on Saturday thanks to a Paul Pogba brace.

“He’s a young talent who has to confirm himself,” the former Sampdoria director continued. “He’s shown what he is made of, now it’s up to what is in the player’s head.

“But I can vouch for him, he’s a good lad, an educated one with a sporting culture.”

Lisandro Lopez??:jvefan:

You mean the 300k euro that was spent getting Pirlo, Barzagli, Pogba and Llorente, or?

The 10m spent to bring Vidal (who is now valued at 30m) to the club, perhaps?

The financial mismanagement of our transfers is now being glossed over because you posers love bashing cronios...how delightfully milan-esque.
If anything, we've been financially very smart since Marotta took over. We had three blunders, but more than made up for it with the expertly done free signings of Pirlo and Pogba, Barza for 300k and Vidal for 10 million.

No one is posing here, it's just a reaction to the massive influx of cretins roaming this thread with their mindless hate.

Is it mindless hate though? the question must be asked if Marotta has paid too much and brought in the wrong players in certain cases. The fact remains that he has yet to buy us a proper striker despite spending a good amount of money on our forwards. I think what Cron tries to get at a lot of the time is that we seem to have no problem paying over the odds for squad players and getting bargains but in our most vital area he is proving hideously inept. One would think that another SD could have signed Llorente by now but of course we have to think of Conte and who he wants for the team too. We've spent our way to the title and a lot of the expenditure was wasted money.

How many ds can start from a 7th placed team, with a whole lot of old players to shirt out, and wagebill to cut in half

To build a scudettowinning team, with the best 3 man defence in the world, and one of the 3 best midfields in the world ?

Every ds gets a transfer wrong, however, if you offset it to succes, marotta has been a blessing for juve.

there is no wasted money if the nett value increase of players bought, is higher then those of failed players selling price.

We didnt got a forward, because none fit in our financial capabilities.

And yet, we are on the way of achieving our season goals, so that striker comming a year later doesnt seemb to have really made an impact

Why would one think that? The Bilbao president was out claiming that Llorente would not leave before his contract runs out, unless a team meets the 36 MILLION euro buy out clause in his contract.

Now, is Marotta a better or worse SD for not spending 36million euro's on a player that he can get for free in 6 months?

Is he a better or worse SD for building a scudetto winning and champions league playing team with the financial restraints put on him by our board?

Martinez, Motta & Elia were failures - but every SD has made those, it's a part of the game. I think it is mindless hate - One would think that people would have recovered from those failures after the season we endured and given our current position. But no, some debbie downers prefer to focus on the negative, and in cases where there is nothing negative to speak of, they bring up past minor failures.

Oh, and when they're not in this thread giving The Great Man hate, they're in the player threads praising the very players that Marotta got here for pennies considering their worth. Figure that.

The only thing I can really have something against marota, is his inability to sign a world class striker for us, and how the del piero saga was solved because of couse he had to do with it also.

Anyways, we all know the reality of the football world right now, and in juventus case, is not easy, even almost impossible for us to get a cavani or a falcao, ut that doesn't mean we should be happy with the borrielos and the benders...

His big hits are enough for him to get backed tho, because just between vidal and pogba, we will get sooo many millions the day we sell them.

Getting rid of Amauri, Melo and iaquinta? Yeah that was excellent work.
You mean the mediore players that the past management signed and gave grotesque wages and contract lenghts? Marotta offered those three to anyone for a pack of gum, just to get rid of their wages. The players blocked the transfers and were subsequently frozen out.

I can't see how Marotta is to blame for FUCK SECCO and his transfers.
