I defend him since he came here, and i'm pleased to see heads start turning, despite some truely pathetic ungratefull members here.

In my eyes, the board set objectives for him, that he allways met. He just had bad luck with del neri, and the figc

First year, he had to cut the wage bill to avoid beeing Ac Milan v2. he did that. sold some older players that infuriated many, rejuvinated the team, only with the money he made from the sales.
He got screwed with the 1 eu rule, having to chose between dzeko and krasic. His coach couldnt figure out how to make the team work, and the strikers who had been "okay" before, suddenly performed horrible(not marotta's fault).
Sorry, i dont want to hear the "del neri didnt got his players" answer. he had a good enough team to finish top3. ending 7th, with what he had at its disposal was just terrible.
Marotta also did a good buy on barzagli that year.

second year, he didnt got the topstriker as we were prices out of the market, but instead he strenghtened the team significantly. Pirlo came and became juventus main creative force, a golden ball contester. Vidal, on his path to perhaps the best cdm in the world. vucinic, still our best and most influental forward.
but this time, he actually had a coach knowing how to use the team. conte took what marotta gave him, and showed the massive talent the team had by finishing an unbeaten scudetto. the euro's later confirmed the quality of juve's italian internationals

third year, he got asamoah, who is played out of position, yet murders any creativity on his flank in each and every game, contributes a bit to the buildup, and has had a few assists this term. giovinco was taken back and proven a good rotation player, excellent situational player when counterattacking, good at killing the little teams to. Isla is yet to do well, but that other signing of him, lichtsteiner, has sprung back into form and kills anything his flank contains. we have the best defensive wings in the world currently.

oh, right, we didnt got that striker, priced out of the market again.
Wel, marotta only does the deals at the right price, and it has payd off. his players deliver, the team is on its way to a financial sustainable future, and despite some people saying "omg no topstriker we suck" well, how much goals did we score in serie a so far ? did we scored twice against chelsea, and in shaktar ?

top of the table bitches, record points in a year, winning CL group that was probably second hardest.

Conte wouldnt have done it without marotta's signings. I hope this duo sticks around for the forseeable future, because they are key to succes

I know I promised not to make a scene, but..

*storms out the restaurant*
That happened to the couple we were sitting next to yesterday. All I could think of was how could I grab a bite of that woman's rib eye steak oon her table after I was done with mine.

That's too bad. Bloody waste of a good steak if you ask me. Denying a man the opportunity to eat red meat, for free! I would think that relationship over.

I'm still behind Marotta, but I really don't have a lot of confidence in him. Maybe it's just me, but following Marotta as a fan, his signing often seems very random and not thought trough. I just don't trust his judgement the same way as I did with Moggi (or many other transfer directors).

He deserves a lot of credit for signing Pirlo, Vidal, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner and Asamoah. There's no denying in that.
But Elia, Krasic, Almiron, Padoin, Motta, Bendtner and the fact that he can't offload players like Melo, Motta, Ziegler etc. really is disappointing.

I still can't get over how disappointed I was when he signed Bendtner. :(

Anyway, I'm still behind Marotta, but I really feel he has to prove that he deserves his position the next two transfer windows.

but im sure he sits with them and discusses what he needs and is involved in giving the go ahead to get a player...no?
He explains the MD what kind of player for what positions he needs.

The MD, will take a look whats on the market, for the right price. For example, Asamoah

Sometimes, the MD sees players he thinks are to good to pass , and sign them. For example, pogba
