I think while a lot of us are getting lost in the Isla, Asa and Gio deals, coupled with a big player argument, we haven't laid enough emphasis on how Marrotta has sold this summer either. Martinez, Ziegler and Iaquinta are still here. I'm sure we'll have arguments in his defense like not his fault if nobody wants them. Well, he brought in two of those three in the first place, and even though Ziegler came free he's still on a salary. We sold Pazienza for under a million euros. Sure, he came free and we can defend Marrotta and say it's a profit, but I'd say he was worth more, though I dunno how many here would agree. Elia 5.5m plus bonuses, bought for 9m a year ago, Krasic at 7m, and then of course we all saw the Melo saga. What do you guys make of those three donsidering their uniwue situations at the club? Id say they were ok, couldve been w tad bit fairer. But not too impressed with the outgoing overall, because again, we didn't prioritise at least getting rid of the absolute deadwood like Martinez, Ziegler and Iaq who were first priority sales when the mercato opened. They're still here. Waited too long to make things happen on that front.

He should have found a way to sell Ziegler but Martinez and Iaquinta are practically unsellable.

Iaquinta is a 32 years, very injury prone striker on high wages who hasn't been good in three years.

Martinez is an injury prone 29 years old winger/SS who couldn't even get playing time at Cesena, on considerable wages.

Iaquinta's contract ends in June, so it's not so bad. Ziegler should be sold in January and we should probably terminate Martinez's contract.

He managed to sell Sissoko and Poulsen for good prices though.

I think Ziegler could be shipped out within September as the Turkish mercato is open till mid Sept, or something.

Marotta: "Clearly he isn't the top player we wanted, but we needed reinforcements"

Thank God he cleared it up for us.
I have nothing against Niklas, maybe he will do well, that's not the point right now. All that time for us, Juve fans, waiting for that saviour to make our weekends a bit less stressfull and in the end we end up with a loan of this type. In these conditions, I still can't understand why they've let Del Piero go: age is not important as long as you can fulfill you task durring every match. Signing a top player would have made sence, but in these circumstances our team looks like our shirts: very cool, except the sticker placed in the front.

how much does it truly matter to you - or anyone - the situation of the outgoing transfers?

personally don't give a flying fuck about them, they have no significance.

You're kidding right?

We supposedly failed to land a striker due to financial issues, selling dead wood opens up a space for more wages and provide the club with liquidity, in other words it gives us the ability to make better offers which means getting better players so you should give a fuck.

Maybe in two years we could/should. One major transfer every 2-3 seasons could be a necessity to place us in a position to win the "Big Ears" trophy, unless Platini really implements FFP the way it should be ;)
