Sure, it could have been better spent outside of this market, where you get more 'bang for your buck'. He's not particularly good, but €10m doesn't get you much when you target this sort of player.

The really stupid one is Martinez. Again, €8m-€12m in this market is the rate, but we bought a player with a poor injury record who didn't even fit our system.

Pepe was overpaid. It's stupid to buy such a limited player for so much money. Pjanic went to Rome for 11mln, Gervinho to Arsenal for 11mln.

I'm not even going to mention Martinez. And Bonucci was also overpaid because he's average at best... don't forget we had Criscito included in the deal who had a high value.
