Galliani has been at Milan under Berlusconi for 24 years. He's also 12 years older.

Marotta has been at Juventus for 10 months having previously been at Monza, Como, Ravenna, Venezia, Atalanta and Sampdoria.

I reckon Galliani probably does know a thing or two more about managing a big club, surprising, but true.

Galliani may have more years on him but it was the level of experience that I was talking about in that particular role. And it probably applies more in Marotta's case, where he's been at smaller clubs and has had to deal with tighter budgets and proportionately challenging tasks at each of this teams across series. What I mean is, he has looked disproportionately out of depth at a big club for the time he's spent essaying a certain role. His conditioning has hurt us so bad that we reek of a classless mid table side. It's there to be seen in the majority of the transfers he's made. Forget Galliani, and for a moment look at Sabatini, Corvino, Marino, these guys are miles ahead of him, and not as narrow minded either. The amount of money he's had to play with, I think any of those three could've brought in almost double the quality at a little more than half of what he spent. As far as I'm concerned, there is no way Marrotta should be allowed anywhere near the headquarters, let alone the team, if we don't make the Cl. Only because he has been allowed to do as he pleases all season long and that speaks volumes for his talent or the lack of it.

No J. These ten months have shown his thought process and mentality to judge him for the next ten years. Look at the mercato situations we've had develop and how he's gone about them. More than two players on loan is enough to tell you, this guy is testing the waters to the detriment of the club. He isn't sure about the talent he picks. It also tells us of his predominantly Italian mindset, which would still be ok for an Italian club playing in the Serie a. But for that to work, you have to pick the likes of Cassano when they're free and not trade Giovinco away to accommodate a Martinez. Only the tip of the iceberg. We've documented the other stuff enough times to know his style of working. Not to mention the amount of money he's spent or committed to spending without in anyway upping the overall quality of the team.

Martinez can bagger off too, 12 mln my ass. Catania are laughing theirselves to death. Tiago was a better player for us than Martinez.

Agreed.

Juventus is a laughing figure at the moment.
Two kids on the flank, 300K worth player in center, martinez the second expensive transfer as a winger, Toni and Matri as key players, Iaquinta and 36 year old DP to save the match as a back up, Motta the other plan, oh yeah, we are a laughing stock..

True..

Amazing comparison was made, look

Martinez > 12mln to Juve
Javier Hernández > 9(?)mln to Manchester

Not everything is about buying WC players and splashing big, but having scouts and NOT having Marotta at the top!

New owners please.
I do say you have to go up the chain on this one. Change the president, the gm, the coaches, the players. To get this consistent underachievement and failure, you have to start pointing fingers at the ineptitude of the owners.

In fairness Hernandez was signed by Man u before Marotta was at Juve, so it's not like he missed a trick with him.

But 12m for Martinez... I dont even know where to begin explaining that decision.
For the record I would also like to point out that Delneri has been pathetic in the use of Martinez, playing him on the left when the guy is literally all right foot is ridiculous

I'm not saying it was Marotta's fault he didn't get him. I'm just saying how it's stupid how much we spent on him and how Manchester got an amazing player for less.

I cannot believe Agnelli has given this chump such freedom. He has decimated this team into oblivion and it's reaching a point where even a Moggi would need five years to rebuild. Fucking unbelievable levels of incompetence.

The problem is huge, and I am afraid we will suffer a lot ladies and gents, we sure will get rid of Del Neri one day, but when will we get rid of Marotta? Tough years are waiting us
