Marotta isn't stupid, he knows we lack strikers. If he says we need them then he looks desperate and selling teams capitalize. By saying we have the most prolific attack, he doesn't look desperate when approaching teams for their strikers.

Great tactic by Marotta, one that most of us have figured out but one that surely all other team directors will fall for.

Thats not meant as an attack on Marotta, just saying that such a tactic is pretty useless. I mean, you can say we dont need any strikers because we have the best attack in Seria A, but when you approach a club for their striker i'm pretty sure they will figure out we need one.

That's all he can say, even if he didn't say a word other directors will know that Amauri sucks, Iaquinta is injury prone, Quagliarella is out injured, Del Piero can't carry the attack anymore.

Was gonna say the same. We're talking as if the other clubs are led by 5 year olds.

What can be achieved with saying that we don't need a striker? Even if the other teams trust Marotta, when we make a bid for a striker they will know that we do need a striker.

I don't think what he says to media is taken any seriously (by other clubs). You guys are exaggerating it. He is praising/motivating his own team and players, what is wrong in that?

And what is achieved by coming out to the press and bad mouthing your strikers. What if we cant get the striker we need this winter and have to wait til summer to upgrade. Great now we have shitty strikers and a locker room problem with players being sold out by their own team to the media. Its called being somewhat classy not saying Amauri is shit and so is Iaquinta.

What makes more sense? Telling the whole world you're desperate for a striker and telling your current strikers that they're all shit

OR

not saying that.

You figure it out.

The perfect Guru!

Give me a fucking break.
Why does it have to be either the best or the worst, have you ever heard of middle ground?

Where did you see anyone say Marotta was the perfect guru or the best or anything of the likes? NOWHERE!! Which means you are laughing at something that does not exist which is rather pathetic.

Sometimes I wonder why the grey scale does not exist on this forum.

A scenario that has happened millions of times:

Andy comes and bashes Secco for buying Poulsen, I come and question the bashing if it were actually up tp Secco for buying Poulsen or was it someone esle requesting him. I will be labelled as a Secco cocksucker immediately.

What happened here is that probably a few members said that Marotta has done good in some of the transfers, Andy says that these people has said that Marotta is the perfect guru.

Snoop suffered a lot during the Capello days just because of these things.

I can go on forever about grey scale on Juventuz.

His only real mistake, I agree.
What do you want Marotta to say? We desperately need a striker?
no...i want him to get his head out of his ass and stop following ex-beens like gilardino or toni (there are a lot of stupid rumours i know)...he could've gone to agnelli and ask for money to get dzeko, because that boy wanted to get here..

Turk enough bullshit really, Giovinco did not do anything special, he took the goals well and I wont deny that but really we were down to 10 men and beaten after that red. Marotta has not done anything wrong really.
Actually only thing he has done well was buying Krasic and loaning Aquilani, Quagliarella. No need to mention how he tried to get dotard Di Natale for 7 million € and how buying loaned players will take most of next year's budget. Yes, enough bullshit. He should either not talk about youth policy or keep players like Giovinco, Candreva, Criscito and Ekdal instead of splashing money on trash like Pepe and Martinez.

I corrected myself and said Trez was his biggest mistake, Martinez cant be judged yet.
Nothing pisses me off more than people that revel in every defeat we have just so they can say I told you so.
What is a perfect Guru?
