Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta insists the club are looking to improve the team's quality during the January transfer window.
However, the Old Lady's chief recruitment strategist reiterated the idea that he will only make a move if there is value to be found in the market.
Interviewed on Sky Italia, Marotta said: “In reality Del Neri's definition is realistic. We are considering making signings.
“It's not easy. We want to improve on a qualitative level. We are happy with our attack. We are the most prolific team in Serie A. So I don't believe that this is Juventus' problem.”
Marotta may well have to review that standpoint after Fabio Quagliarella went down with what looked like a serious knee injury against Parma.
Asked about Juventus' goalkeeper situation which has been complicated by the return of Gigi Buffon, he said: “I don't believe it's a problem. He is acting in full harmony with us and is recovering from injury. He will play in the Coppa Italia against Catania.”
Finally Marotta turned his attention to long-term transfer target Edin Dzeko who looks set to join Manchester City from Wolfsburg.
“He has a very high value [as a footballer], so he wouldn't just have done well for Juventus.
“There was a great difficulty for us [in trying to sign him]. There would have been no space for him bureaucratically in January because we have already registered a non-EU player in Milos Krasic.”
thats the only thing i hate about marotta and del neri always saying we have the best attack in the league....srsly how many of those were scored by iaquinta and amauri? or even del piero...other than quag who is now injured there is no one scoring goals in our attack...
