To be fair I think Marotta knows what he's doing. I have more confidence in him pulling this off than Secco did with any deal :p

Credit to Secco for Diego though.

Surely the Dzeko transfer, if it happens, cannot happen until next summer as we have already signed one non-eu player THIS season...or am i mistaken?

Promotes the development of home grown talent. I think they want to keep it as the Italian league.

It's not FIGC just trying to be an ass to Juventus because they thought we would sign Džeko.

the funny part is all it does is force clubs to look for players within the eu or with a eu passport, not home grown italians.

what if dzeko has a spanish passport, its no different then him not having a spanish passport because at the end he is not italian. eu pssport or not

stupid rule. i hope it its changed by summer

and since when we sign them my friend?!
It's not just about us, it's about the whole league. An Italian or English promising youngster is almost always overrated and his price is double or triple higher than a player of similar quality from South America.

Marotta: «We need more frequent meetings with the referees»

At the end of the meeting in Fiumicino between referees and representatives from Serie A clubs, Giuseppe Marotta declared: «It was a positive and pro-positive meeting to iron out the recent tensions. We asked the referees for periodical appointments and a more frequent discussion in order to debate the regulatory dynamics. A referee may make a mistake but through meetings the errors can be digested better».
