Agnelli was going to pay for Dzeko out of his own pocket. There aren't really any constraints on publically listed companies in that respect. We could have spent much more but Agnelli was only interested in funding Dzeko's transfer. But hey, I wouldn't trust Marotta with my money either.
The real pitfall of being publically listed is that we can't have huge debt without adverse reactions from shareholders. Not having debt can also work to our advantage but I'd prefer to have the flexibility.

As far as I know Milan & Inter are knee deep in debt.
Knee deep in shit too.

Hope he will still be willing to fund the Dzeko transfer next summer.

Are Inter and AC not publicly listed?

I'll say it again!

What Marotta has done now is to build a foundation to stand on. A foundation we can start to build on. Young player with a bright future. As well as established players who are not 30 yet, exept del piero. Gross and bracco are not even in the team atleast it looks like it.

Next season opens for one or two signings of real class when the team now has a depth, and we don't need more "avrage players"(like some off you say). I think Dzeko or Pazzini, perhaps Guisepe Rossi? Elijah? Who knows? The money will be there next summer or perhaps already in the winter?

Marotta have sent numerous usless players . It seems that many forget it. It is a difficult and time consuming task. We just can not replace a whole team and bring a player with the price of EUR 20 million at each position, especially not without selling discarded "money sucikng idiots".You have to act smart also financially these times.

The team that we have at present is supposed to reach the Champions League spot. Looking on the paper it should not be any problems. The only thing missing at the moment is continuity and interaction between the various team parts. Not surprising, given that 6-8 new players will have to get playing time. It takes time. (Can we be spared from lots of injuries would be very helpful).

An advancement to the Champions League this season is a major achievement. In economic terms, and perhaps not as much athletic, then no one expects more than top 4. Or even a Scudetto. Anyway, we will get money into and a possible stay in the CL, which opens doors, gates, doors to better players with great exellence in what they do.

We must be patient and trust that Delneri can do this. Why? We have no choice. We sit and write at a forum. In the end, we really don't know as much as we think.

FORZA JUVE:flag1:
Bull shit, Marotta is nothing but fu(king Nationalist. He wants only Italian players at juve.

Marotta on mercato:

we got 11 players and 4 of them are part of the national team

we had 3 needs. rejuvenate the team, cut down salary's and change the ambience and we complete all 3

Hardest transfer: Bonucci it involved 3 teams ,Criscito and Almiron.

transfer that didn't happen: Dzeko we tried everything to bring him but nothing came of it, I have a feeling that Hoennes brothers have an agreement to bring him to Bayern.

Wolfsburg wanted Sissoko but we said no.

Diego, is a great player but dosn't fit into our 442

another striker: we weren't interested in anyone else besides Dzeko, Boriello it seemed a great opportunity

What a lie

The coach thinks that Diego fits there and actually plays him there ahead of a well proven support striker that is Del Piero, but Marotta thinks Diego didn't fit there and that's why he sold him?

I don't like this guy :(

This is a mystery :shifty:

Del Neri wants Diego, Marotta sells him and says he doesn't fit!
What has happened behind the scenes?

Juventus will continue to chase Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko – even if director general Beppe Marotta believes he will eventually join Bayern Munich.

The Bosnian was targeted by the Old Lady this summer, but numerous Bianconeri offers were rejected by the Bundesliga outfit.

“We did everything possible to get him to come to Turin, but Wolfsburg put up a wall,” Marotta told Tuttosport. “He is one of the strongest strikers in Europe, a player who can make the difference.”

Marotta is thought to have offered Wolfsburg cash and Diego in return for the international, but he had to settle with just offloading the Brazilian.

Asked whether he would go back for Dzeko next summer, the official noted that he would even if he isn’t exactly optimistic of his chances of signing him.

“We’ll make another attempt to get him, but I have a feeling that he will end up at Bayern Munich…”

He has so much faith in himself....
