Llorente for free would be a solid signing last year but I would complain that the wages are high even then. But now after a year of abuse and destroyed confidence do you people really think he will be the same. No way. And that is crucial for a striker just look at Torres. Also Del Bosque prefered to play 4-6-0 or Torres than to start Llorente last year in the euros (didn't play a single minute) and that was after his "glorious" season. He was never more than good and to offer him now this wages after he became a shell of his former self is ridiculus.
Sorry, this position has already been filled.

Might just be his opinion. Worrying, eh?
I really have a hard time getting that into my head. Can't possibly be, he came out of nowhere, started posting every day in almost every thread, knowing exactly what to say to push buttons. 100% troll imo, but if you want to wait until you get more evidence that's well within your authority :D

I had to check out that Red Cafè Nicholas was talking about.

Loved this post:

"Juventus are being pretty classy at transfers.

Pirlo, Bonucci, Barzagli, Pogba, Vidal and now Llorente have together cost less than Stewart Downing."

Torres' situation is far from anything like llorente's

Torres lacks confidence because of the environment he is in at the moment, the fact that llorente is moving to a new environment will most likely have the opposite effect. Just look at Pirlo

nah the bonucci deal is still unclear, we still can't find an accurate exchange rate from Euros to Cron$

That's actually a good bit of maths, if the poster has used the 'official' transfer fees:

Downing €28m (£20m with July '11 exchange rate)

Pogba €0
Pirlo €0
Barzagli €0.3m
Vidal €10.5m
Bonucci €15.5m
Llorente €0
Total: €26.3m

Of course, those players all play for free :D Downing's €4.8m salary would eclipse the reported €4.5m for Llorente, anyway

As a Juve fan for almost 20 years I must say I'm very pleased with work Marotta has done and players he has brought here. Enyone here who cannot acknowledge this is either insane or hasn't been a Juve fan for long time. Even Moggi used to sign players for free when he could (some of them were just average). And he was The transfer guru.

Our post Blan/Secco/Gigli transfer policy: never overpay for players, sign experienced players on free transfer, sign as many talented youngster as possible – all of this has been executed almost to perfection by Marotta in last 18 months.

It seems to me that Marrota is now even more patient when dealing on the transfer market, because he can be. We are winning. Not only games, but trophies. He doesn't have to go out there and just splash 30 million. I hope he continues this good work of this, and when revenues go up, lends us word class players in every department.

And lets not forget all the Mottas and Martinez as well.

We have wasted millions upon millions though, its not like Marotta is making any miracles, we are unable to sell any player for a decent price.
We are losing money from loaning our players. He does not like a Juve material manager.
We would settle with good enough, if he could at least get what we need, when we need.
I want to believe, but its to Marotta to convince us, getting a decent CF now is his big test.

but he has unlimited funds, other clubs need to sell, he doesnt...Marotta just releases players, or sell them off!
no other club could waste the ammounts we gave for Martinez, Matri, Motta, etc, no other club wastes more money to get back every player they loan.

Have you checked out livrrpool's transfer strategy? Or that of tbe previous real madrid? Or perhaps you should take a look at man city whl are unable to offload incompetent players because they were signed on insane wages. Much like the trash that marotta is dealing with from the secco era.
