If you play ONE game there are lots of teams with better teams on paper. If you plan to play 50 games, we are one of the strongest.

We aren't spending 60 on any player, we spent almost 30 mil on players that we could live without in position we are really covered, don't you prefer if we spent those 30 mil on a single WC player in a postion we need. If you can chose between Van Persie per example and Isla/Leali/Gabbiaddini. I woudl chose the former easily.

And please comparing our mercato to Milan :sergio: They don't have the money and we do. Big $#@!ing difference.
30 million won't bring you a top striker
and I was merely giving an example
Milan bought a couple of wc players a couple of years ago and look where they are now
need I remind you we have financial fair play coming into affect
balence your books or you can be out of Europe
and with Juve record in court I would want to avoid that
better safe then sorry
so to answer your question, I prefer to have a number of players of good value then one or two top players
the risk of devaluating the team because of one injury to our new striker is too big a risk to take

Look guys:

1)Llorente: Bilbao wouldn't budge
Dzeko: City not selling
Jovetic: Refused our offer
RVP: Out bid by Manchester United
Suaraz: Contract renewal

2)What the hell did you want him to do?

3)Berbatov will bring us more goals than Matri and for only 5m. Save the money for a future striker at a club willing to sell for the right price. Marotta is runningn a tight ship, we are the most financially secure club in Italy, why compromise our long term growth just to pay an overvaluation for a player?
1)True that!
2)Make a 30mil offer for Cavani, stop wasting time and resources for subs, instead of focusing on the global market for a great prolific finisher...
3) True a decent quick fix, ppl are just upset because they had high expectations, but until we have a top transfer director, or at least a less limited one, we cant sign such a player...

Spoken like a great director of sport that suits a club like Juventus.

Vidic, Evra, Kagawa, Rooney, Van persie, Nani.

Their MF suck but they have too much firepower.
Nani's too inconsistent imo. I'd rather have Isla or Asamoah as a RWB.

But Ahmed raises a good point.

That's such a bold statement to make.

Barcelona. Real Madrid. Manchester City. Chelsea. Bayern.
Agree with most. Chelsea don't play that good as a team imo so I rate us above them. Bayern is better overall except for their defense. Their attack is amazing.

Btw, we should go for Dempsey at this point. He's cheap and already fell apart with his club. Very complete striker and has no problem playing as a CF.

Chelsea have great depth, and with more time, I think we'll see an even better side.

We only have better CBs than Bayern, hence why they overall have the better squad.

Yes, I think I implied that. :D

This mercato gets a solid 7 from me, only because we didn't get a striker and that's what we needed most. Not bad all things considered but not great either.

Worst thing about this whole Berba saga is that Fiorentina are extremely mad at us and are calling us criminals which means that any chance we had of signing Jovetic just went the fuck away.

Exactly. TBH I did not lile the idea of stealing Berba from them but afterwards I joined the majority of the forum who were describing this move as a masterpiece from Marotta.

Seems like Marotta has already given up. First settling for Berbatov and now talking about maybe signing Llorente in January or next year.

Good night then mercato 2012.

Ive said this before aout Del Neri when he was in charge and i'll say it again

Stop sucking on Marotta's nipples and expecting them to lactate, enjoy the image fanboys. I'm off for a smoke.

Edit: that was supposed to go into the mercato thread.
